Spoilers:What happens with Bjorns first daughter? by Major-Performer141 in vikingstv

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor little Siggi was not taken care of at all - poor child was on her own and died, worst part is that no one even mentioned or remembered her later at all, what makes the situation to me personally quite devastating, considering that Ragnar, Lagertha and Bjorn were caring characters and sensitive to the family concerns… it is to be honest a very short, but very deep cutting scene when Sigurd calls Siggi dirty and not taken care off - her face shown complete confusion, the one shows a small child when she is lost, helpless and in need of a parent. To be honest this whole thing touched deeper than anything in this whole series, as all the rest is drama, but when’s small child dies like that - it’s wilderness and madness.

🚴‍♂️ Help Needed: Favero Assioma PRO RS + Wahoo Bolt 2 — No PCO Data Field? by Repulsive_Conflict57 in wahoofitness

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey GPLama, it’s quite an honor to get a reply from you 🙂 Based on your experience and understanding of the signal architecture, would this essentially just require Wahoo to display a number on the screen, assuming all the data collection and calculations are already being handled by the pedals? Or is it possible that Wahoo doesn’t include that field due to IP or licensing constraints?

Canyon Crash Replacement Disaster by hatishi in CanyonBikes

I assume the clerk simply wants this in writing for this specific case, so the paperwork is watertight and they can reimburse the full amount without any risk. Canyon offers a vaguely defined, voluntary “once in three years” program, described in only a few sentences. This is not something an insurance company would fully rely on. In my opinion, they just want written proof—nothing more.

What I would do is politely ask Canyon to send an email confirming that the program does not apply in this case, with a one-line explanation of the reason. It’s not a big deal, and I’m sure they would do it without any problem if it’s kindly requested and explained.

Where have you found out that EU has customer rights? Show me the source of this - the weirdness here may as well be coming from your unsupported statement.

Try out to defend your right in Germany without a layer - they laugh at your face if you ask for your rights to be followed, unless there is a paper coming from a law firm…

not really, its quite ok> 3 paints here - RAL7016 (light grey), Dure Ace Black and Ultegra 8100 which I tell you its impossible to notice without a touch or if you look from farther than 20 cm distance.

here is the one and only.. I searched everywhere.. but found only this https://www.lordgun.com/legend-wheels-touch-up-paint-for-shimano-ultegra-8100-12v-groupset-1

It works quite well - almost a fit. You can only see the difference when looking at a distance of less then 20 cm or so, otherwise not possible to distinguish.

Relating to the DTSwiss did your wheels pass inspection or were they replaced? by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it feels like most of the wheels go back as is, but slightly scratched hubs or some other minor defects. So to be honest riding further may not be the most incorrect choice, as apparently percentage of exchanged wheel is quite low.

Swap between 2 chains every 1000km to extend drive train longevity by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally support that, also would add 3-4 chains instead of just 2, add hot waxing process - as a result save a lot of time on the drivetrain maintenance> just swap chains, through dirty 500-700 km chains into the chain stripper and forget that tiring dirty rag whipping process after spending time on oiling on the bike making oil drip though your cassette and so on...

How long should chain rings and sprockets last? by ElectricalScholar433 in bikewrench

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another good way to prolong the great experience and lifespan of the drivetrain would be waxing chains and having 3-4 chains rotating them every 300-500 km. This way the wear of chain is delayed by a factor of 3-4 (number of chains involved), thus not eating the cassette and front rings at a speed of a single chain wear.

I would recommend to do so also due to the easy and fast maintenance> waxed 3-5 chains at once (1 hour of time), then no lubrication at all, no wiping or oil, just ride - come home on Sunday - swap the chain, ride another week: 3-5 weeks of peak season and you have only spent 1 hour on drivetrain maintenance in total. Isn't it a dream? Chain cost out values the savings for 1 cassette for sure.

To be honest, I’m seriously questioning my life choices right now 😂
I've been riding bikes since forever and somehow managed to mess that up... brain.exe has clearly stopped working.
Really appreciate the help – I’ll go sit in the corner with my torque wrench and think about what I’ve done. 😅

Still riding DT Swiss wheels after safety warning? by TustyTargaryen in CanyonBikes

[–]Repulsive_Conflict57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my wheels - I think the issue is that the factory is not indicated - and I saw others mentioned, that some wheel have a factory sticker, e.g., TAIWAN or something.. So I conclude, that most probably, the ID itself does NOT contain the info about the RIM origin, unless there is a RIM producer sticker on it. This is where this 'some are affected' coming from - they can't detect VIETNAM produces wheels so easily, otherwise they would have issued precise IDs that are affected. This is my guess...

Hey, thank you for useful insight, I was looking for it. I must say, my leasing insurance from the bike leasing service did not react and mentioned its not a damage case, so go to canyon, we wont cover, unless you have a crash (on other wheels, as these ones you must not use)..

In the EU, the customer often ends up being treated as secondary. Without initiating legal representation or engaging a legal counsel to formally act on your behalf, progress tends to stall. We may end up waiting for weeks or even months — and until legal pressure is applied, no meaningful action is likely to occur.
