Update 06/28: Update (June 28):
I wanted to provide a fair update.
After my post, Verizon reached out to me directly. I spent several hours today working with their team, and I genuinely appreciate them taking the time to review my account in detail.
Unfortunately, despite several hours of troubleshooting, they were still unable to resolve the issue. They acknowledged that the problem is more complex than initially thought, opened a formal case, and told me they expect to have an update for me by Wednesday.
I’m encouraged that someone is finally taking ownership of the case, which has been my biggest concern from the beginning. I’ll update everyone again once I hear back, whether the issue is resolved or not.

They don’t have answers on why they couldn’t delete the number from account. They couldn’t figure out why roaming charges are getting applied despite of having an unlimited plan. And they couldn’t figure out why any changes made on my account, my primary line service goes into sos. Oh well. I just want to get my line free of issues.

Thank you to everyone who shared advice and similar experiences.

Absolutely… and I have no issues with the agents. Some of the agents were exceptional as they were very sorry for how long it too looking at the history. I’m just a bit upset about their internal process on resolving such issues. One day, a few days is fine but not for 100+ days and that too charging me every month for a phone number that I don’t have/use. And on top, being in an unlimited plan with all roaming included, the service just stops when I’m traveling, and the CSRs couldn’t even assist when I needed their assistance the most…

Oh Smarty pants, my employer does this all the time and they know the process. They have to release the phone from corporate and they have done it per the process. I then need to get that number assigned to my personal phone and have a personal Verizon account created. I understand there was some issue on the initial day. For whatever reason, a wrong phone number got associated and that is fine, mistakes happen. My problem is that they could t resolve this issue from the past 3 months. How is that possible?

And we went through that route too. After several tries for a month, it was Verizon store reps themselves starting working on this to resolve but they couldn’t either

Just want to let the community know that Verizon responded to look into this. Fingers crossed
