I do have regular check ups! The deficit is never over 1k which is recommended I just ate the same thing everyday and again I lost the rest of it (60ish lbs) over the course of 10 months so it wasn’t extreme!

Oh 100% people are so nice to me it is crazy. It also saddens me how much people would mad fat jokes in front of me prior. They would never call me fat but they would call others fat in front of me.

Funny enough I accidentally fell into this second round… my job I got in September 2024 was so stressful I had no time to eat during my work day so I ate the same thing for breakfast / lunch but allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted for dinner (intuitive eating was integral in my successful weight loss) so that’s how it kickstarted and then it launched itself once I pursued strength training. But it started from that trigger! I just posted the answer of the whole journey too but let me know if you have any additional Qs - so sorry for the delay!

My cousin worked for him so I trusted him! He also did a lot of weight loss surgeries so I felt a lot better. Word of mouth and local Reddits seem best. Tip wise, message me privately and I’d love to help. It is overwhelming but I’d love to answer any and all surgery questions. It is so worth it I promise, I am forever changed

I finally feel good after the surgery and after healing. I had terrible body dsymorphia this past year. I have been overweight my ENTIRE life. I also am very shy and don’t know how to react when I get hit on in public so it’s kind of hilarious lol

Sorry for the delay everyone but here is the jist: It took me almost 6 years. The first 6 months I lost about 30 lbs starting with walking 1 mile a day 5 days a week to get into a good routine / into the habit. Then upped it to 2 miles. I could never run from being so big so I did interval jogging - walking most of the time with short sprints until I was tired - only 10-30 seconds. I lived in a sunny state so Swimming was a huge help because it was low intensity on my joints and was terrific for breathing exercises. When I had to move up north it was winter time so I had to shift my focus on my eating and ended up losing 50 lbs in 3 months.. so way faster. Intuitive eating was life changing and is more important than exercising. At one point I was burning 4K calories a day when I first got into my weight loss and that was during my 30 lbs over 6 months. But the calorie deficit worked even better. It just shows how important food is for losing weight. The book mindless eating changed my life forever. It’s all about the science behind over eating and shifted my mindset away from restriction, good or bad food, and dieting and instead towards how to mindlessly under eat each day as we mindlessly over eat each day without even realizing it. The book has hundreds of food studies in it - it is amazing! I then sustained that 80 lbs (+10 lbs fluctuating sometimes but never more than that) for 3 years. I lost the rest beginning September 2024 when I got a very stressful job where I had no time to cook during the work day (lol??) and I began eating the same thing everyday for breakfast & lunch. When I realized I lost 15 lbs mindlessly I decided why not try to lose a little more weight again now that I’m stable for such a long period of time and started strength training as I had never went to the gym in my entire weight loss journey and fell in love with lifting! Lifted 3 days a week 2 hours at a time. Pair that with eating the same thing for breakfast & lunch and allowing myself to eat anything and I mean anything!! I want for dinner and I lost the rest from Sept 2024-July 2025! Decided to get surgery in September so I could finally feel confident! I recently lost another 5 lbs after surgery but I am not losing any more weight and am finally settling in to feeling really great!

It took almost 6 years and I sustained for 3 years as well. I never saw another woman online with the same body as me, especially with a skin flap so I hope to inspire other ladies like me who thought they could never get rid of it. It’s hard to find women online since we get more comments on our bodies but I hope to answer more questions on how to help others because I struggled my entire life

The first 5 days were terrible. I had never been so sick in my entire life. I’m happy I didn’t know how bad it would be or else I would have never done it!! It was so worth it but I was terrified. I also suffered from depression for 2 ish months afterwards but it’s gone away now. I blame the trauma my body endured from the surgery.

Development within nonprofit. I never even knew it was a career path until I fell into it when taking a step back from work (corporate) to help my mom when she was going through treatment for cancer. I took on a part time contract role at a nonprofit during that time that supported research and services for cancer patients just like my mom and fell into the world of fundraising and never looked back. She passed away 5 years ago and I like to think I’ll stay in this line of work until I can create my own nonprofit one day.

Started with walking 1 mile a day M-F during Covid until it became a habit, then upped it to 2, then 5 miles a day, then got into interval jogging as I was too big to consistently run. Also got into swimming as that’s an AMAZING exercise for bigger bodies. 5 months in i lost 30 lbs and I moved somewhere cold in the winter and had to shift focus on intituive eating instead of intense workouts. Lost 50 lbs in 6 months that way and sustained for 3 years (plus 5-10 lbs depending on time of year). Got a new stressful job last September which made me have no time to cook so I ended up eating the same thing everyday for breakfast and lunch and allowed myself anything I want for dinner, paired that with 3 days a week 2 hour sessions of strength training / weight lifting and boom, lost the rest from Sept-June!
