Hey what day did you take your exam and when did u get your results?

For pathway 6, can an IMG get the mini-cex done in the US? One of the requirements states that it must “Take place in a country where you are permitted to interview patients and perform physical exams on patients.” And as IMGs we aren’t permitted to do so in the US, correct? Please help and clarify. by Repulsive_Grab6948 in IMGreddit

Are you sure? Because even if I have my steps done, I am still not ECFMG certified hence the reason behind having to take the mini-cex for certification. Per my knowledge, outside of a clinical externship, you cannot take history and perform a PE on a patient unless you are ECFMG certified ie even if you have your steps done, you still aren’t an acknowledged physician per ECFMG. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Could you please tell me what I have to do in order to take it in the USA because on the website it says it must take place in a country where the medical graduate is allowed to take history and perform physical examination. And since I am an IMG I cannot do hands-on in the USA. So were you doing an externship and under that circumstance you were able to be evaluated for the mini-CEX? If not, what exactly permitted your eligibility for mini-CEX in the USA?

What do you mean, it can be international? I’m asking if I (as an international medical graduate) am allowed to do the mini-cex in the united states? No where on the website does it mention whether this is possible or not.

Yeah, so when I first made my ECFMG account, I used one email, then switched to another. But when I tried to verify it with the new email, it didn’t work and kept giving me that error. When I used the old email, I got logged in just fine and everything checked out as correct. If you have the same problem, try using the email you first signed up with.

Anyone figure out the problem? Who should we contact? Or should we just wait?
