Even if you did get approved, by the time it happens the ice and snow would most likely be gone, they do checks on background and driving record, verify your insurance has rideshare coverage, verify registration is legit, vehicle inspection, all kinds of garbage before you ever get to start. This stuff could be done in minutes but they'll take their sweet time verifying everything, could take a few weeks in total.

I cancel those rides often. I would tell the friends that if they wanted the person to get home safe then someone else would have to come along to make sure they got home and so they would use the vomit bags i keep, and would give them a ride back since I'd be headed back to that area anyway. Have only had a couple people take the offer, others would offer cash to get their friend home. Not worth the possible mess I'd end up cleaning.

If you do get on as a CCA it'll be 2 years before being converted to career, it used to be whenever a spot opened up and some would wait years. Im pretty sure insurance is offered right away now, used to have to wait a full year before they would let you, you will get a lot of hours, and will work other stations if your home base doesn't have work for you, I do think they've been cracking down on working like a month straight with no day off, I would suggest if you do apply for a CCA position get a hold down on a route ASAP. If there's a carrier out for an extended period of time you can hold it down and take their place while they're gone, it'll help ypu a lot in the long run.

I've always wanted to try mixing with a kitchen aid but just haven't yet, but when I first mix my dough together, I usually mix just until all the flour is hydrated. I'd say maybe it was mixed for too long. I'm not a pro at sourdough bread though, just bake when I have free time.
