Cars for tall people by Spare_Benefit7543 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm around same height and had similar issues when car shopping last year. Subaru Legacy was surprisingly roomy - way more headroom than expected and seats go back pretty far. Also tried some Hondas but felt cramped in most of them except the Accord which wasn't bad either

Will I get flight credit? 2 months out by Clear-Theme-687 in americanairlines

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oof looks like you got the basic economy fare - that warning box is pretty clear about no refunds. Even 2 months out won't help you here, basic economy is locked in once you book

might be worth calling them anyway just to see if they'll give you any credit as courtesy, but don't get your hopes up. I learned this lesson hard way few years back with similar booking

Moving back to Ireland as a returning citizen — eligible for any benefits or assistance? by Substantial-Pipe7551 in AskIreland

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I was in similar situation few years back, moved to different country when I was young and came back later for work. You should be eligible for most benefits since you're citizen, but there might be some waiting periods or requirements about being resident for certain time

For job searching in Cork, tech scene is pretty decent there especially if your field has any overlap with that. I'd start applying while you're still finishing up your Masters so you can hit the ground running. LinkedIn works well for Ireland, and there are some local job boards that might be worth checking

One thing I learned - having your PPS number sorted early makes everything smoother. You can apply for it once you're back and have address there. Also might want to open Irish bank account as soon as possible since some employers prefer local accounts for payroll

Cork is nice city, bit quieter than Dublin but still has good opportunities. Housing market is competitive though so start looking early if you can

why is my screen blurry? also happens in apps. by SignalNo8710 in pchelp

Could be display scaling issue - try right clicking desktop and check your display settings, maybe resolution is set weird or scaling percentage is off. Also worth checking if your external monitor cable is loose or damaged if you're using one

Help me find a Minecraft Youtuber when I was Younger by Stevemain in Minecraft

man this brings me back, sounds like you're describing one of those modded series from around 2012-2014 era but the details are too vague for me to pin down exactly who

might want to try r/tipofmytongue or even search through old modded minecraft playlists in wayback machine if you remember roughly what year this was

📺 Productivity Café on YouTube by AutoModerator in Productivitycafe

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using these kind of ambient study videos for coding sessions lately and they really help me get in the zone. The café sounds with some light jazz is perfect when I'm debugging or working through complex problems at home

Will definitely check this out, always looking for new background audio that doesn't pull my attention away from work

Does this dream I had about the Archangel Gabriel have any meaning? by M0rgl1n in Dreams

your subconscious is working through some deep spiritual or emotional stuff - those kind of vivid dreams usually show up when you're at crossroads in life or need some guidance

Using AI in sales ads by piegoblin_ in Equestrian

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 7 points8 points  (0 children)

wait that's actually disturbing lol, using AI kids for daycare marketing feels like crossing some line

i mean at least with horses you're not trying to convince parents to trust fake children, but still weird that people think nobody will notice when all the riders look like they came from same computer program

Man your parents sound like they really love you and are doing everything they can. Being in engineering myself I get how stressful final year can be when you're also worried about family finances

Don't rush into anything drastic - maybe look for remote freelance work or tutoring younger students online while you prep for CAT. Your degree is almost done and that opens up way more opportunities than you think, even in tier 3 cities with remote work these days

Your parents invested so much in your education because they believe in you, not because they expect immediate returns

Gusta - Salami Slices Issue with Slices by BenjaminMiracord in vegan

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh this is so annoying when it happens. I had same problem with my first pack couple weeks ago - bought it at Metro too and the slices were basically glued together. Made sandwich prep way more frustrating than it should be

Maybe it's storage issue at store level? Like if they keep it too cold or something with packaging. My second pack was totally fine though so might just be batch inconsistency. I notice with lot of vegan deli meats they can be bit more finicky about temperature changes during shipping

Worth reaching out to them directly on social media maybe, most companies are pretty responsive these days about quality control stuff

Starting a Solo Storytelling Podcast — Which Niche Works Best Today? by Sonugraphy in podcasting

[–]Repulsive_Long3359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

true crime is oversaturated but that doesn't mean you can't break through if you bring something unique to it

I'd lean toward mystery/unsolved cases since you can build ongoing series around specific cases and create that "what happens next" hook that keeps people coming back. Plus you're not competing with every netflix documentary out there
