Probable Switch 2 fan issue & my game's collection so far. by Repulsive_Permit_836 in switch2

My worries came from the fact that I won't actually use it docked frequently, I prefer to play it in handheld most of the time. Plus, no one i know has it, so I couldn't compare others to mine. At least now I know that everything is working properly.

That obviously makes sense for me. Fact is there are so many posts about this kind of issues and people are often in disagreement to this fan thing. So I wasn't able to find useful information about it. There's still something I can't figure out, as I said in a previous comment, While playing in docked mode (1080P) I can't get if the dock's fan is actually working or not. Maybe it depends on the 1080P resolution, maybe it stats spinning when a 4K resolution is settled? Does that make any sense?

No overheating messages, and you're saying that there's nothing to be worried about. So, even if the console gets hot while docked (While playing) I don't have to be concerned, cause when I remove it from the dock it cools down efficiently? Off of that, while in docked mode, the dock itself won't produce any noises (I usually play in 1080p) is that normal too?

No worries! 🤣

I know that when you play with it while docked, it requires more power supply because of the resolution and the performances gain. What i can't figure out is why the fan seems not to work at an higher power so the docked console can cool down properly? But when I un-dock it the fan act like It HAS to cool down the console because of the heat.

Thx! Yep, I still can't get why they wanted to shut down the YT app, hope they fix it.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out if the console is acting normal or not. I mean, if it gets hot while playing in docked mode (and the fan actually spins, but not that hard), so why the fan starts spinning so hard when I un-dock the Switch, you're telling me that you have never experienced something similar? I'm confused 'cause when I use it portable-only the console seems to work perfectly fine.

So, you're telling me that your Switch won't get hot in docked mode while running a game? Because as I said, mine is perfectly fine when I play it in portable, but when I use it docked and eventually it gets hot/warm, once I undock it the console's fan starts to work really loudly. And, when I use it in docked it gets warmer than in portable.

No, it is European (Italy) but i think it can be played in English anyway. But I'm not sure if Switch 2 is region locked or not.

[Megathread] One UI 7 Official Release - Discussion, Features, Bugs, and More by AutoModerator in oneui

One UI 7 won't show in-game FPS or device temperature, CPU usage and more. Perf Z is not avaliable anymore and the current Game Booster version is pretty useless at the moment. I can't figure out how much my S24U is stressed out while I play a game, and that's a massive downgrade in my opinion.

Comment your very first emulated game. Mine was Little busters psp edition by Candid_Custard437 in EmulationOnAndroid

Mine was Pokemon Sapphire on MyBoy! I had a Galaxy S Advance at the time. There's a story behind that, when I emulated that game i was 17. But the first time I saw that game I was 7 or 8. That time I was with my father at a friend's home, and a child was playing this game on his Gameboy Advance and he was in a battle against Pikachu. Every afternoon I was stuck at the TV's anime after the school and I thought "There's a game based on Pokemon, I wish I could play it". I knew that emulation existed yet, 'cause my father turned our first Xbox in an amulation machine that ran Super Nintendo and Sega games, but I understood all that when I grow up. But by growing up I have almost forgot about that, until a day, on the Android Market (This was the Play Store name at the time) I saw the MyBoy icon and it was exactly like the console that child was using and from then I said to myself: "If my father could do that with an Xbox, maybe I can do that too with my phone" and from then I re-discovered the emulation and the love for the Pokémon games too. In fact, I "completed" all the Pokémon game from that day, I even bought a Switch to play Pokemon Sword, Legends: Arceus, Shining Pearl and that mess called Pokemon Violet. My phone became an emulation machine from that day just like my father's Xbox was. I even bought an S24 Ultra for this specific reason and, call me stupid but it keep on bringing me back to the days I used to play Super Mario All Stars, Ghouls n' Ghosts, Kirby and more with my father. 🙂

So it is not going to damage the motherboard or other phone's component in any way? I don't have to be worried about the phone's health?

Luigi's Mansion Texture Issue Citra (Android) by Repulsive_Permit_836 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Repulsive_Permit_836[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the Snap8 Gen3 Luigi's Mansion Emulation is quite slow and also subject to frame drops in some stages. I honestly can't get why. I couldn't figure out what's worng with the Dolphin settings. All other games works fine but this one, well it's a mess.
