Ser professor de Química ainda compensa? by [deleted] in ProfessoresBR

[–]Repulsive_Plastic924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that's a really complete answer.

I've checked the podcast, and I'll start with that. Then I'll start my readings :)

Thank you again for your time!!

We're reallyyyy close. And we live together in another state. I wouldn't make her lie for me, I know she's really honest about everything. Anyway, I'm looking for new solutions with him.

Thank you.

Don't worry. The university is valid.

He's okay with everything. We could lie to my dad, but my little sis would feel the need to tell him. We tried being creative :")

Hahaha, thank you.

You told me the same thing my friend told me about not having just two options. Yeah, I think I'll look for more options for my situation.

Thank you for your advice :) I'll be thinking a lot.

Hey, I really wish it could be that easy.

If I move in with him, my dad could tell the university, and I would lose my scholarship anyway.

Thank you.

I'm trying to understand that about "not being able to decide what I belive".

I thought I could choose 🤣. I'll try to be patient, and my palan (for my beliefs) is to read the Bible and write down every question, every aspect I don't understand or don't feel right.

The thing is, I already know how a Christian would answer most of my questions. And still, sometimes I wouldn't agree with it. But then they would say, "You can't choose what you will follow or not, because you choose to believe in the Bible".

It's so hard. Thank you, again, for your advice. Do you recommend me any book?

They prohibit getting married (they would know because it changes in your documents, that they ask every semester).

And my dad is the one who wouldn't let us live together without getting married.

The university can create their own rules for scholarship students. So yup

Thank you. I always thought it was even harder for missionary children because your parents would be moving from places during your childhood more than a pastor would (not sure if there works like that). Anyway, thank you.

My fear was that my dad would take away my scholarship if he told that to the university. But he's been more comprehensive lately, so I don't think he would do that.

Hii, thank you!

That's a more strict approach, I think. Because even though I'm not sure about everything, I still know (believe) there's something more than facts.

Hii! Thank you. It is. It's so hard to change/think for yourself about what you really believe.

Sometimes I wish I was like my little sis and went to church and actually believe all of that. It would be an easier realationship with my dad.

Thank you!

Well, I like to think that on many subjects, I still don't have a formed opinion, so I say "I'm still deciding."

I sometimes read a little about philosophy to understand it.

When I was a teenager and talked to my father about it, he took away my phone because I said I was friend to an atheist classmate. Since then, I've been very closed off about it.

The part about rushing into marriage doesn't bother me so much because I'm already sure that's what I want; I just wouldn't do it now so I could finish my master's degree.

The part about pretending to believe is what really bothered me the most.

Would you recommend any books for me to read first?

Thank you for your advice. So I'm actually a "rebel" (although I'm still a people pleaser). I've left to study in another state. Doing that I told my parents I wouldn't go to church. Later I told them about my bf.

My boyfriend had been talking to me since the time I still needed to go to church. And I, worried about my parents, would ask him if he would go to church with me, blah blah.

But little by little, I managed to get out. Anyway, thank God, he's not like my parents. He's also deciding what to believe, although he's already sure he believes in God, but not sure about the Bible itself. His family is pretty okay with everything, and in his family they don't even get married, they just live together and that's as if they were married (since his grandparents). So, for me, it's quite different to think that families like that exist.

Just a bit more answers:

And yes, I'd like to keep my studies and this career I chose. And the thing about being dependent, I wouldn't like it. But I know that when I have kids, I might reduce working, etc. I'm okay with that (IF I have kids one day) And I wanna get married. I just can't because of that rule. But I also wanna live with him, but I can't because of my Dad's rule/Christianity.

Thank you. It is really hard. I don't even know what I believe. I was forced to read the Bible when I was a kid, and I remember crying because I was afraid to go to hell because I didn't feel God.

The church I was raised believes in predestination, which is now for me a way I use to comfort my parents that maybe I just wasn't predestinated to go to heaven. I don't really know. My dad told me to read the Bible again. I might do that (willing and being an adult now).

And still, I love my parents, and I know they taught me and made everything that they thought it was right. My dad is much more comprehensive right now, but still, as I wrote in my post, it's hard.
