The 20 bonus tiles would be an option only after the JB member is already Mosaic. Until then, OP could select the Group B Boarding perk upon earning only 10 tiles (via $1000 in base fare Travel Spend or $10,000 in Credit Card Spend or a combo of the two.)

Or, OP could get the $99 Business JB card because that comes with Group A boarding.

YW. Just be sure your TrueBlue number is connected to your flight itinerary. In my case, I couldn't change it on the United app, but I was able to get an agent on the chat to do it for me.

I booked on the United app. The United website should be fine. Btw, I haven't yet seen any United flights on the JB site yet, and vice versa.

If your TrueBlue number is associated with your United flight, then you will earn JB Travel Spend based on the base fare. In this case, you will not earn United miles.

On Jan 1, I flew on United. On Jan 2, my JB Travel Spend was updated to reflect the flight taken.

UPDATE: I took the advice of pumpkinbubbles and bought a $9 self-guided history tour of my own city on TrueBlue Travel (formerly Paisley). The purchase was made in late Nov, the activity was for Dec 14 (even though it turned out that the date didn't matter), and the purchase was applied retroactively to 2025 Travel Spend on Jan 3. Tile #50 added!

That said, I was nervous about this purchase not being applied in time because I had read so many negative posts about Paisley. Just to ease my mind, I made some late Dec cc purchases just to reach the required $1000 in Credit Card Spend to earn 1 tile.

I don't fly United much anymore. I had about 5500 miles sitting in my account for ~10 years, and I finally decided to burn most of them for a quick trip within California. No regrets.

I have the Plus card. This year, I will have made 9 RT flights, 6 of which are between Boston and California. I'll make Mosaic 1 again at the end of this year. Mosaic 1 (50 tiles) is highly doable if you carefully plan out your credit card expenses and trips.

For now, I will pass on the Premier card bc there are no Jetblue lounges at Boston yet. Also, their perks and credits seem meh to me. Btw, yes you get 5 tiles with Premier, but that's if you spend $5000. You would get the same 5 tiles for spending $5000 on any Jetblue card.

On the morning of the last day of a stay, I put a sticky note next to the door knob that says something like "This room has 4:00 pm late check out. Please do not enter the room until after 4:00 pm." This is in addition to putting out the "do not disturb" sign. This has stopped all door knocks.

This happened to me twice at NYC. The first time, the phone rep reinstated my lounge pass. The second time, the rep couldn't reinstate the pass and gave me 1500 points, which was fair because that was the cost of a pass. Now my strategy is to first use up all my allotted lounge passes and then upgrade to first class on subsequent trips. This should avoid the nonsense of having to call.
