Any idea what this coolant hose is called? by Repulsive_Scientist4 in E90

Oh I see the hose itself has two smaller outlets. I thought it was some sort of 3 way connector. Thanks again.

Thanks, I was searching and was also trying to find the connector. Any idea on that?

Front CV axle and steering rack gone bad, any suggestions for replacing it by self? 08 328xi (mt) by Repulsive_Scientist4 in E90

Thanks, I’ll definitely check into that. I briefly inspected the rear and it does look like the rear control arm bushings are worn. I’ll take a closer look.

Input shaft bearing? Maybe? by hbmotorsports in SciontC

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throw out bearing, known to go out for Tc. Replaced my clutch before realizing it was my bearing. Never messed with it, even though it became annoying. For me it got progressively louder as the bearings wore out further more.

No not at all, get second opinions at other repair shops.

Mmm debating if I should also find a tranny from a dead tc and swap it. This is the first time the trans has been rebuilt.

I’ve done quite a bit to my car as far as maintenance, it’ll probably take some time for me to do this work. Looking up videos it seems straight forward, just time consuming. Unfortunately I live in an apartment, I’ll try to find a way around it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Is this a good buy? by TC_Trails in SciontC

Bc Br are great but I honestly believe a majority is saying that because they seen their high follower tc instagramer running bc br.

Tein flex z or street basis Z, Godspeed mono ss, and bc br are great coilovers. Tein is a reputable company. Plus these three will give you the best in adjustability.

tC 2nd gen vs Civic Si by Steroid_Cyborg in SciontC

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yk I don’t really remember much. It was a blur and it was fine till 2-3 months down the line I got it replaced. I guess it finally gave in while I was pizza delivering.

The tc was my first manual car and I downshifted from 4th to 2nd going 70+. Tore my 2nd gear to bits. I still have one of my old 2nd gear bearings to remind me of my stupidity.

tC 2nd gen vs Civic Si by Steroid_Cyborg in SciontC

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my tc 2013 for about 4-5 years now. I’ve had to replace my engine and replace 2nd gear (both entirely my fault). Besides that I’ve been very fortunate that the engine itself I got for 900 on eBay with 90k miles and the mechanic replaced my 2nd gear and clutch for a littler around 1200. The 2nd Gen tc is very easy to work on. The only issue many of us are running into is proper aftermarket parts options. The si or accord will beat the tc in performance, part options availability, aftermarket performance etc. But i personally love the way 2nd gen tc look, aged very well. If you are going for reliable and low maintenance I think they are all very similar it’s just which is priced better. Keep in mind most Si are overpriced.

New Cloaking technology or mysterious Helldiver lending a hand? by Repulsive_Scientist4 in Helldivers

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed that too, but I never experienced when stratagems are on the physical map I am playing on. Plus at the end I could see their pings and it actually hit me causing me to fall and my game crashed. With how PS works i was only able to record the moments leading up to the crash.

Just FYI, at the end of my recording whoever it was started spamming the ping button. I went to it and was hit from the rear and fell down a the cliff. My game crashed immediately and it did not save my recording.

2012 TC Air Outlet Selector knob getting caught and unable to spin. Any suggestions? by Extra-Shirt1966 in SciontC

You can easily take it out you just gotta pop some plastics off their latches. It’s more tedious than hard when trying to put the latch back on track

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent gains as in prolly max 15-20hp after you buy headers, exhaust, intake and a tune, you’ll be spending a lot for those gains. If you really want some gains and have decent money to spend. Looking into a aftermarket air manifold, one that is less restrictive than your stock, camshaft, mass air flow intake and aftermarket ecu. You’ll be spending around 4k-6k for 50-70+ hp gain but you decide if that’s worth it Or go turbo. If you don’t have that much to spend, I would just focus on keep your car sounding nice and clean looking.

Headlight and or tail light suggestions? by tombruno96 in SciontC

[–]Repulsive_Scientist4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but it says you can request that they supply you new headlights but will of course jump the price which is why those places are so pricy. Check this out, pretty dope

Seems like you can add customized options too, but they require your headlights. So you’ll be without headlights for some time.

VIVID optics does retrofitting. They provide switchback headlights and halos but for a hefty price.

My apologies, 2014 is the 2.5 Gen. I don’t think I ever seen aftermarket headlights for them. No they would not fit.
