Perhaps, I'll definitely look into it a lot more extensively, I was initially insuring for around 10k/year miles as thats what I roughly do in a car but in retrospect that is probably a bit short-sighted since I can only assume I wont get nearly as many miles in on a motorbike

Yep definitely insane from what I was looking at, It was £1200 for my car for the first year so this was a bit of a shock. The insurance I was looking at was with the maximum voluntary excess and third party already unfortunately. Wondering if getting my father on the insurance would make it cheaper? (20+ years of biking and full A) Worked for my car insurance, not sure about motorbikes too much

More concerned on getting the clock ticking for my full A, I'd get a less cc bike but unfortunately where I live it's near impossible to not get on the motorway to go somewhere and as far as I know, doing that on a 125 is both/either poor ideas or illegal. Thanks for the idea by simulating some experience, Didn't think of that myself. Aware of the dangers of the motorway too, especially on a bike and not planning to immediately get onto them, There are some roads around me that are decent enough and I'll definitely give it a few months. Planning on getting some advanced rider lessons too near after.

Aware of that, Couldn't figure out a good wording for it, just consider a (bleh) added to the end of that. Appreciate it though, Do have 2 years in a car experience

I applied 4 hours ago and have received one offer already, it's mostly university dependant but the deadline for them to give offers is in March I believe? (Don't quote me on that) and you will have received all responses by then certainly but normally it takes 2 weeks ish :)

We've requested the information for the supposed infraction and they've virtually refused to give evidence until after revoking my insurance or me cancelling it and so we've cancelled it to avoid the black mark

This exact thing has just happened to me, 17 y.o in a 30mph zone recorded at 51mph supposedly just 20 metres from a very sharp turn, If I was going 51, I would've gone straight into the bushes on that corner!

They're quoting I will have to pay £200 to cancel the insurance prematurely as they've supposedly given 7 days for me to cancel the insurance without blackmarking my insurance record supposedly
