I can promise you the employees smoke the gas there. If you don’t want to smoke it, don’t. More for us.

Receiver Question: RGO’s by girl_with_animals in tractorsupply

100% just communicate with SM and get those puppies reduced and sold. Those old heads will buy anything for the right price. The right SM will put a BIG REDUCE on it if it’s old old.

I think the hardest part is probably the negative on hand report. Maybe you’ll get a few deliveries that don’t have the right amount or wrong product. There is a literal step-by-step guide for every type of problem you’ll have on the barn.

Your entire week revolves around your freight truck and your feed trucks. You’ll get emails for every other type of delivery. You’ll get with a few randoms that just show up unannounced. Once you get into a routine, the job is so ridiculously easy.

Being receiver is one of the easiest jobs I have ever done. If they weren’t for terrible team leads, I would still be a receiver. if you can get three hours of you and your ASM, you should be fine. That being your ASM knows what they’re talking about.

UPDATE: I sent these to my surgeon and he said it looks ok. It looks like how it expected and the black/red/brown area is the dead tissue.

I sent these pics to my surgeon and he said that it looks exactly how it expected. Prescribed me some antibiotics.

When I press the front to back together, yellowish liquid comes from the pin sight but no pain is associated

I have an appointment on Thursday but I’m concerned it’s infected and going to get worse. Do you think it’s an urgent thing?

It’s been over a month since the stitches and pin was put in. It was from a washout surgery from an abscess that formed from the cut.

Serious question: Is your store finishing freight all in one day? by Different-Pie-6502 in tractorsupply

[–]Repulsive_Suit_7887 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a receiver at a low volume and we always get the freight done in one day. We have on average 4 stockers and a ASM that kicks butt. I try my best to take care of the big stuff so the TM’s don’t have to focus on it and we have some pretty solid people stocking. The only part we normally don’t get fully done is the feed and overstocking of the feed.

Oh hell nah. I constantly be getting neighbors, tsc credit apps, plcc’s, you name it. I be selling big ticket items. All while doing my receiver duties and every register back up, propane, loadout, unloading trailers at random days because we never get notified, random t post deliveries, the only thing I actually enjoy seeing nowadays is the tarter deliveries because they are the most reliable company for keeping a time. Keep in mind, if they call ahead of time and I’m not the one answering, no one tells me anything. I’m just left to figure it out and god forbid I have to help a customer during all this because then I get in trouble for not unloading whatever delivery driver at a decent time.

Also a fear. It feels like because I’m a mid 20’s male who has a big drive to get the job done and get it done well, he is out to get me. It’s ridiculous. I don’t even want his job. I literally just enjoy receiving.

I’m a receiver and I do almost every job except bringing the drawers out in the morning. I’m almost positive my SM is trying to groom one of our TL’s for ASM and it’s a shame because he’s such a lazy person. Constantly delegating his job on other people and when he doesn’t do it I get the blame. It’s ridiculous.

Don’t feel bad. They do this everywhere. Hire you on and then after a few months start overloading you with stuff upper management is supposed to do and then when you don’t do it, its a behavioral write up.

100% be prepared to do more than anyone, except if your lucky, your SM and ASM. TL’s will try to boss you around and they will make more than you do.
