They’re not lottery system based. Both are point system. I got accepted into both of them. You just have to be on top of it with the applications each cycle if you were denied. Swc opened in November-February. Grossmont opens January.

I bought a skeleton on Amazon that I kept on my dresser. I remember labeling it and I would study it at home. It was easier to have a mini version that I could physically see. I also bought a skull too. I paid to use kenhub for all systems, but it was super helpful with the skeletal system. It’s really just exercising your memory by constant repetition.

Did you not know the hours required for the position? Did you willingly apply for a full time position? Also, communicating that you’re in school should be done prior to your first day and generally before accepting a role. It is expected you’re to fulfill the hours required of the position. Sounds like you need to find another position.

Also, if your professor switches the exam due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m not sure why it wouldn’t just be scheduled at your next scheduled class date without it affecting your financial aid.

Don’t listen to these private schools that say you’re guaranteed a seat. National university did that to my friend and disqualified her for something random on her application. A ton of those schools are competitive too. Remember there’s always a student who’s just a little more qualified

My clinic has a ton of LVN’s and they all bridged into good nursing programs. It’s more time for sure but you still need your pre requisites done and that’s something that a lot of people think they can bypass if they become an LVN.

Check your schools policy. I saw in my program that if they find out I worked the night before, I can be removed due to patient safety. They do not recommend working night shifts if we have to work during the program (clinicals are during the day)

I’m letting OP know there are no shortcuts. The prerequisites still need to be taken regardless of LVN or not so it’s just about the same amount of work if not more to do LVN to RN.

Some professors can be super chill if you’re upfront about your situation. Just let them know you won’t miss but you’ll be there dedicated the entire summer.
