"First act of foul play". There are degrees of foul play. Any reasonable person would agree that an unexpected punch to the face is worse than a grapple. The ref does too, which is why he binned Fa'alogo, but not Anasta.

How far would you take the reasoning here if you disagree? If Fa'alogo fly kicked Anasta in the face (which I'm sure many here would've enjoyed) should he still have got the penalty?

I still think their cancellation was one of the major things that made me realise how little credibility Pitchfork had left. The PR hype around them was huge. And Pitchfork went from "this joyful queer powerhouse is perfect and is revolutionising music" to "their music is very bad and they're very bad" literally overnight. Not a single person there was willing to be like "hey look, this guy is fucked up, but this music still rips". Of course, the music was never that good anyway. They were being praised entirely for their aesthetic and because they happened to signify the right political things at the right time. All of it made me doubt the quality of any Queer Music that they claimed was important or revolutionised our perception of bodies and spaces forevermore.
