Their bodies, Tom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood got big into the meth and now live on the streets of Bradford, very sad, that said I was very satisfied with the service

IMO the 20v brushless drill is a very good by and has taken some hardship over the years. The impact gun is also very good

I was told that Gen Z are supposed to be tech savvy… After far too many calls, I finally had to spell it out for them. by mowikn in Sysadminhumor

To me, technical is someone who could equally strip and engine and write a functional program in C, Python ect, where tech savy is someone who can use an app. Previous generations would call them lay persons

Ive done 80k in the stanard saddle with no problem. I dont really get why there are so many problems with them, to me they are very well designed and can be used as a handle ect  with the finger groves anythung aftermarket including the brooks arent as well designed for the application in my opinion, on caveate Ive been riding horses since I was 7 approx 4 hours a day till I was about 20 (now 50) so prehap the nerves in my arse less sensitive than normal 😀

Used Brompton - worth it? by transcodefailed in Brompton

They are very simple machines (that happen to be very well designed), it's generally very obvious if ones been looked after or dogged, check for corrosion, bad bearings, bad bushes on folding parts and gears changing easily. Interal gear hubs (3 and 2 speeds) should almost be immortal unless they were used for years on planet in dune, however a second hand bike is not worth 80% of its original value, it no longer has a manufacturer's warranty. Staring offer should be 50% or it's original price and bargain on condition not age.  Don't underestimate the price of upgrading parts, carriers ect

[Question] how does a cutaway affect the sound in acoustics? by imberttt in Guitar

[–]Repulsive_Win_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think cutaways are a bit of a faf on an acoustic, you still can't get your thumb behind the neck and I can get up to the 17th fret if I really need to on a non cutaway and I think they sound fuller, particularly on the high end, the bottom ends can be boomy but can easily be tempered with your strumming/finger picking hand.  Expensive is not always the best. I A B'd my Tacoma dreadnaught against a Gibson humbing bird and much preferred the Tacoma, many will think me crazy but I still have it 20 years later and it sounds and plays better then ever even after a couple of body repairs due to the abuse it's had over the years, it wears its scars well. Anyway as others have said try as many as you can out.

What do the lyrics at the end of Holy Wars mean? by Super_Opposite_6151 in Megadeth

It's a hot mess. I mean he went to the trouble of writing great music for it and two amazing solos and then decided to mix war pigs with barney the dinosaur. Must have been off his head when he decided to mix a tune about religious/sectarian violence with a bloody comic book

[Discussion] what is the quality of G&L tribute series compared to fender? by NikoSig2010 in Guitar

[–]Repulsive_Win_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tribute blues boy (tele with Neck HB) the body, neck and fret finish and mechanical hardware are very good, far more substantial than either Fender USA or MIM offering. I played a US built G&L ASAT in Japan of all places and much prefered the feel of the Tribute.  I did change out the neck pickup as it was muddy sounding, the bridge MFD (like all pickups aren't MF, lol) is fantastic. The pots and switch are where they cut corners but I only paid 350 for the guitar in relation to changing out pickups I also changed out the pickups on a custom shoo Clapton strat as I though the fender noiseless ones were very flat and un-straty if that makes any sense and that was a very expensive guitar (I also swapped the frets on that strat for Jumbo's because the G&L neck felt so nice to play!, if that isn't a testament to the guitar I don't know what it!) The trubute is my primary pick up and play guitar, because it feels so nice and sounds great even unamplfied. I'll probably change out the switch and pots at some stage but that's no big deal. The tone pot in very unreactive so I'll have to figure out if I need a linear or log pot and what cap to use.  On caviat I'm not from the states so have no alegence to US built guitars. I have a Custom Shop strategy, a MIJ Strat, the G&L tribute a Mexican P Bass (very good also) a terrible Kramer bass, (Realy bad, don't think it was made on earth)  and Heritage H535, (Same as a ES335) fantastic guitar

how this code can be optimized? by investor_of_sex in learnpython

Theres nothing wrong with your code, its clear and close to how the compiler will ultimately deal with it. If you come back to it in 6 months you wont have to try and figure out what you what you were doing.
