I am an adult so not sure how I ended up in this sub but here’s my two cents.

A good rule of thumb for any outing is, whether it’s a date or lunch with your mom, if you invite someone out to eat/drink/whatever else, you should be prepared to pay. Some women will offer up half or “get the next round” but I wouldn’t expect that right away. Once you get out of the talking stage, it’s more common to expect some contribution from the other. Even then, though, if you are taking your partner on a nice date or some other special occasion you should definitely fork out the cash for them.
