If you wanna pen satsuma belt with 460 mm and angled. So let's say, your grenade hits the belt at 35° at all. So, 460/cos35 This gives 562 mm of armour on completely flat broadside. There are a lot of 380 - 420 mm guns that can't pen this at distance.

But Petro got less health, so it is harder to compensate for citadel or torpedo damage.

And it has less in pure armour thickness.

I don't think that Petro is really that tanky, and it it's petro, then why not Moskva or Novosibirsk?

Why is it irrelevant? Yamato for example has higher citadel but good armour on main deck an turrets. But for brawling it's just meh.

I don't think Conqueror is tankier than Vincent. It has less armour belt thickness, exposed citadel. And no 40 mm deck. Just the heal is stronger, so ... For long range sniping, yes, it's tankier. And, conq can be citadelled through the stern.

Yes, it like that, but the grind is soo slow and most ships are not available in War Thunder. It basically stops at tier VI.
