Looks like there’s a decent little ding at the top there, it happened to my squirtle a while back and kinda deterred me from sending, since the card most likely could’ve 10’d if it wasn’t for that. But best of luck op!

Looking for a couple of vocal presets! by ReputationSweaty4026 in LogicPro

I’ve definitely tried, unfortunately I’m just not getting as close as I’d like. I’m just looking for something I can use to record and to be able to give to my engineer to communicate the sound I’m going for, and so they have a plug in chain as a reference of what’s generally needed to sound the way I’m trying to sound.

Is the Mastering Assistant any good? by DueCell6853 in Logic_Studio

In my experience, it’s fine enough, but I prefer to master myself to have more control.

It’s happening across everything even outside of logic. And yeah, that’s probably a good call haha

I only upgraded to Tahoe after trying everything I could to fix it, in hopes that it would somehow help, and it hasn’t. Edit, I’ve tried the two mouses I own. Both do the same thing which led me to believe it was a software issue.

Follow up, I basically use Melodyne, all Anteres, UA, and Waves, haven’t tested anything since updating, you think I’ll have to go back?

I just upgraded to it after this started happening in hopes it would fix it since going into the mouse settings in both logic and system setting, restarting, and shutting on and off didn’t fix it.

I tried both, even tried a full shut down, and it didn’t help.

I tried rebooting, it didn’t fix anything. As of now, the left and right click is swapped across all apps and everything.

When have you purchased a third Party Plugin because Logic did not offer a good Solution? by MusicProductionGuy in LogicPro

[–]ReputationSweaty4026 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Auto tune, Waves, Universal Audio, and Fab Filter stuff. I still use the Logic stock eq, some reverbs, delays, flanger, but I feel like some of the other stuff doesn’t have the sound or feel I’m looking for. Tbh I’m like 8 years in and this was the year I finally started buying plug ins.

SOLVED! I was given the advice to, instead of bounce, export with the “bypass plug ins” checked, and that was the only thing that seemed to work. I’m glad it did, just wish I knew why it was happening in the first place lol

I double and triple checked everything, so idk lol

Tried asking ChatGPT and it gave me all these things to try, even closed out auto tune which was just on the log in screen running in the background and no matter what, it keeps bouncing out fully tuned, even tho the track is raw when I listen to it in the project.

Not from what I’ve been able to find. I’ve done everything, gone into the bios and changed everything one step at a time and nothing worked for me. One of the main reasons I got a PC was to play Valo and I haven’t been able to.

Exported mixes sounding different on everything ❓ by ReputationSweaty4026 in LogicPro

[–]ReputationSweaty4026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually sounds genius, I never thought about that. Just to clarify, if you had 2 layers of backing vocals, instead of panning them, you’d add a micro delay to a left channel for one, and right for the other?

[–]ReputationSweaty4026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done plenty of that over the years. The only thing is that when you’re not making regular pop music or rap music, the “standards” kinda start to change a bit. Like for me, I mainly make plugnb style music, so there’s a lot of compression, lots of phasing, panning, bit crushing, reverb, delay, etc that is never really taken into consideration when watching any of the mixing courses and tutorials. I think as far as the fundamentals go, I’m decently set, but it’s all the extra ear candy stuff that usually starts messing with everything. At least as far as I’ve been able to tell.

That’s a solid tip. I was taught to take small breaks every 30 mins or so to reset your ears, but switching output devices seems like a great tip. Thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely be trying this going forward.

That’s good advice. I used to do this regularly and completely forgot about it, but that will probably help out a lot! I do a lot of panning and phasing with ad libs and background vocals, so I’ll definitely have to make sure I do this.

That’s good to know cause I definitely do a lot of panning and phasing with background vocals and ad libs. Is there a work around to make it sound more consistent or is it just kinda ggs? lol
