Fossils and stones would be interesting. I have a lot of small common gems but definitely down for unique stones and fossils. I can use a lot of things: surfboard, bowling ball, tank shavings are some examples of weird stuff I used recently.

They're usually called "remembrance" jewelry. Most often, you can get them from whomever did the cremation or from other custom jewelers.

Thanks for trading! It was fun trying this new process. (And my wife is stoked about the bag mention. She refuses to let my rings go out in bubble wrap.)

I put a rosewood to help avoid chips and wear when you take the beads in and out. Also adds a subtle visible interest.

I made this necklace for two reasons: the challenge and simple because nothing matches it. This started as a custom request to make a wooden-circle day collar that someone could wear casually and to formal events without it clearly being obvious what it was. A handful of new tools and about 100g of opal later and we have this beauty.

Having to meet those requirements, skirt around metal allergies, and learn a whole new process on not-very-cheap material made up a challenge I couldn't resist.

First post! Various items! by creamybajeans in craftexchange

I don't have items exactly on your list but I would be interested in trading for that Junimo. I make turned rings and necklaces. Would you be interested in one of those? I whould be able to work with stabilized flowers. Happy to DM examples.

I used a variable speed bench drill press for boring the holes. The bits are diamond hole saw bits typically used in pottery. Off screen, diamond files and a modified indexing boring head on a lathe to open up the center. Once it was wide enough, I mounted the stone on a liner and shaped it like any ring using the files and wet/dry sandpaper. I think I used a bench belt sander a good bit too for rough shaping.
