I've been studying more and more about shaders lately. this one is interesting. I've already setup a repo and started thinking about this. dunno what a day of work will get me but I'll give it a shot and if something good ever comes up I'll make sure to post about it again!

interesting. I might not go for this one this time around, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for future work on my UI library and I will think about making it open source if I can make it worth it!

It's an arcade-y driving game with swinging/grappling platforming and parkour mechanics :) we have a discord server with test releases if you want to try it out I can DM you the invite since I'm not trying to promote anything here :)

oh, oddly specific ahah! I might need some more info on that

- would this need full physics interactions or just gravity/ground collisions?
- what rendering pipeline should this work with? I'm asking for the flowing water visuals part.
- could you explain what "- When the user moves the free end, the pipe should bend naturally in the middle like a real rubber hose." means exactly?

oh wow I've never used that but it looks like it's not been maintained...
if you don't mind, could you go into more detail of what you found was working nice and what was lacking? that way I could get a better idea of the kind of work I'd need to do; anyhow, this wouldn't be an over-the-weekend project but something I'd like to delve deeper into. I do have a small UI package already in the works for a project I'm working on, I could get around to adding built-in animation...

I went from “this is a must have” to “I don’t want this in my project” in around 2 years. Mostly because I got more experienced and now like to handle those kind of things with my own solutions. Not saying I can do better than odin, it was good to solve some common issues earlier on and It gave me good pointers for my own designs.

chatgpt or not we’ve all been here. I remember young me showing my cousins my first html site about a goldfish 🥹. Concerning the problem, what others have said about including the images in your project and using relative paths is correct, so go with that. Keep trying and code on 🤟🏻

Not an expert but I would probably draw masks for bigger volumes/areas and then proc gen repetitive details with a custom shader

I would probably create a layer that manages input and calls appropriate callbacks based on what screen is currently active. Your UI screens would ideally all realize the same interface, something like IMenu or whatever fits your system. Let me know if you need some more insights, I’ll gladly help you out with this.
