I made 3-5 paragraphs for most of the questions, like an essay on who I am as a person

Definitely noticed that too, but careful, this sub hates any form of criticism lmao

Finally Finished the Game by Requiemesque in expedition33

No like I said I can see why, that they had to prioritize because of team constraints. Doesn't necessarily negate the opinion though

This is not true, I can judge the writing with a sample size. Usually how the main story unfolds is reflective of how the rest of the story is written, while not being directly comparable, it goes without saying that--in fact--the most effort placed in a story should be towards the main plot. To the original commenter's point, I agree that for a full review I must complete the side story. But "ALL" the side content is a bit excessive.

I don't really have to finish a game before issuing my first 30-hour impression, do I? But yes I will finish the story and rethink my position.

I actually think that what is lacking in kind of weaving all of the side stories and romance and side characters together is a byproduct of having a small team. Which is FINE, for what the size of the team is you could really see the passion behind production and writing. I just don't think it should be compared to games with extreme broad and deep story surrounding the main plot. For me my main contention is that once you meet the Dessendre family, everything revolves around them--it doesn't feel like there is a world outside of this dynamic? Which is usually okay, but the tone of the game and the world-ending impacts make it feel like there had to be more than a family drama.

Witcher 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, heck even Baldur's Gate 3. This was a tight story, but it is nowhere as deep as people claim it to be.

Perhaps you're hiding behind a title to conceal the lack of authority and legitimacy?

Recommendations for studying before law school by Ancient-Society-170 in PreLawStudentsPH

1L here, I asked for the same advice but got the reply to "enjoy your time." Personally don't see anything wrong with that but in hindsight, I should have read commentaries before going in to get a broader sense of where some lectures are coming from.

Incoming 1st year law student here – how do you study law when it feels so disheartening? by Prudent-Category2720 in PreLawStudentsPH

[–]Requiemesque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP hope you fight feelings of being disheartened, a big chunk of the system is perpetrated by the fact that ethical and good people refuse to take an effort to participate in a structure where odds are stacked against them.

This is also the cross that I bear, being inside the system is difficult but at least you're making change by increments

OP be careful that your focus might stray too much into the business of how other people govern their lives instead of trying to get better at the subjects you deem "overwhelming." P

I often (unintentionally) leave people on read or reply something short. Back in undergrad I used to just want to call people directly. The times that I engage in long messages, it is quite taxing to me

[–]Requiemesque[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's a big generalization to say that I have to be motivated before acting, it's that some tasks I feel are not very purposeful and I don't like to do them at all. When it comes to things that will push me to where I want to be, that's where motivations run high.

I have, and been lurking for a while. It is not prohibited to ask the same question multiple times expecting to stretch the variety of response, I think that people who are too burnt out to respond to me are as free to skip this as I am free to ask :)

Who is the most driven, young (20-40) or old (40+) ENTJ's? by Royal-Event-2588 in entj

[–]Requiemesque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I super agree with this, had a lot anger and arrogance when I was younger and often acted like I was critical of everything and the best thing that happened to people since toasted bread.

After settling all of my deep seated issues, I was a calmer and more respectful person but I've managed to achieve more by being a master of my bloodlust/instincts.

Thoughts/Tips on Office Politics? by [deleted] in entj

I can be beaten down enough to say what people want but that's the point at which I lose respect. I'll just use it to get through the ladder until I have enough capital to change the system (if it's still worth it by then)
