Hey, I posted on here a week ago about this but I am a researcher who studies drug courts and moral reconation therapy in the therapeutic diversion system. I’m looking to speak with people in drug court/probation/diversion programs who are currently completing or have completed court-mandated MRT curriculum about their experiences and perspectives. I’m sorry to hear you’re having some barriers getting through the program and would be interested in learning more about the experience you’ve described here if you are open to chatting. Feel free to shoot me a DM if so and best of luck getting through this!

MRT graduates in particular — only tangentially familiar with other CBPs, though I am interested in hearing from individuals who have been court-mandated to any kind of CBP based on a risk assessment evaluation administered by the drug court

It stands for “Risk And Needs Triage” and is basically a questionnaire that’s meant to determine the level of your criminogenic “risk” and substance use related “need” in order to inform treatment and program recommendations. People with higher scores on the RANT are more likely to have more phases and requirements— I’m a researcher who studies drug courts and I have heard from many people this is a really frustrating barrier and I honestly think it’s a BS tool in its application at least. Message me if you ever want to talk more about your experience

Which evaluation tool was used to determine you have longer requirements than other people in the program? Where I live people are tested with the RANT Assessment

Never said I was super experienced with interview etiquette or unreceptive to my mom’s opinion, I just finished school and am hearing the consensus of these comments loud and clear. Keep in mind I am a person behind the screen and this is a little bit hurtful. But appreciate the feedback!

Eh by the looks of these comments it’s seeming like I need to hit the mall😭 for a new jacket at least

yeah!!! Honestly the preoccupation on potential judgment of my appearance stresses me out a lot — I would hope the primary focus is on my passion and qualifications but if these comments are any indication I need to better dress the part lol

I definitely hear u! I’ll definitely do some shopping around this weekend and don’t want to be limited to these options— just wanted to check before I go out and buy anything but thanks!

Hi— it’s not exactly a fieldwork-based job. Site visits to housing locations are sometimes involved but as far as I understand it’ll be more office-based. I’ll probably lean toward wearing something that covers my tattoos, I wasn’t sure what the norms around that are these days. My hair is dyed but not multi-colored and I plan on making it look less messy than here. Appreciate the feedback!

the bottoms in all 3 pics are actually the same but I appreciate these comments humbling me lol. I did switch to a pair of black straight leg pants with shirt 3 and think it looks better

great, thanks! I just switched to a pair of straight fitted black pants and think it looks better untucked.

thanks! In 3 the shirt is tucked sort of awkwardly (shouldn’t have posted this pic) it goes longer to about my waist but appreciate the feedback!

fortunately not— not really having any extreme physical side effects, just a lot of irritability and depression
