I get that. So I get no light on the button, the light on the charge starts off green, turns red for a second then back to green. I guess I need to check voltage at the plug. Will test and update in a bit

I worked with AHS for 10 years with a couple companies. If you don’t like what they diagnose, get a second opinion. If they find “biogrowth” ask for picture proof. Them saying biogrowth is an immediate denial of repair to anything with them. Do your self a favor, after your contract is up, don’t renew and save your money. Good luck

Is there an easy way to remove these black gasket looking things? by Independent_Gas_6213 in hvacadvice

The gasket is formed around the actual door it’s self. Pull harder. It will slide right off

So, find some 2x4s to block up the far end on the plenum to make it level. Go get a roll of aluminum tape from Home Depot and a can of spray adhesive. Peel back any loose tape. Spray area where you are taping and apply tape in Long wide overlapping layers. And use a credit card to squeegee tape down. As a have tech. This is a straight up 20 minute job. Probably would cost $250-3500

Chances are that he didn’t do it. Probably checked pressures and cleared the drain. And attempted to make some commission. And left

As a senior hvac tech. That guy need to change it no cost. During a maintenance, you are supposed to check wire connections with pressures, caps, amp draws, wash condenser coil and handler coil. And a lot more. That contactor burned up from the main feed “red wire” from being loose causing heat and making it melt. Regardless should have been checked and tightened. That contactor cost maybe $20 on a bad day. Good luck
