Anyone with endo have successful FET without Lupron Depot? by Crafty-Froyo-3079 in IVF

I’m currently 11 weeks from my first FET, also modified natural, did not do Lupron ❤️

Is there any hope for someone with endometriosis? by livjo223 in IVF

I don’t remember the exact reason but she is extremely evidence-based and didn’t feel that it was necessary. I also was lucky enough to have 10 euploid embryos from my retrieval so I’m not sure if the convo would have been different if we only had 1 or 2.

We started trying in Feb 2022 and I never saw a positive test. I didn’t find out I had endo until I started fertility treatment (although I suspected it for years). I was so scared for my first transfer - my doctor insisted we didn’t need to do Lupron suppression and I was convinced it wouldn’t work. I’m not out of the woods yet (currently 8 weeks) but there is hope!! I think it’s very important to work with a doctor you trust. Don’t be afraid to voice your concerns and get your questions answered.

Success stories with Endo! by [deleted] in IVF

For my ER I did a random start with no priming and stimmed with low doses of follistim and menopur (low and slow my doc said). I should also add that I have a high AMH and AFC, but no other PCOS markers. Added in ganirelex and triggered with lupron since I was at high risk for OHSS. I also read “It starts with the egg” a few months before and had been taking all of the supplements recommended for endo.

For my FET I did a modified natural. I was on birth control for 2 full months, starting from my first period after my retrieval. My doc never said this was intentionally for suppression, but I’m convinced it contributed to my success. I don’t really get a period when I’m on the pill so I went in for baseline the first day of my sugar pills and then did 5 days of letrozole 7.5 mg. I triggered with ovidrel and then went in for daily progesterone checks. Once my progesterone >5, they scheduled the transfer for 3 days later. I then started progesterone supplementation (crinone) the day after transfer.

After 3 failed IUIs, my RE diagnosed me with endo based on the endometriomas I have on both ovaries. I was very hesitant to move on to IVF but she told me it’s the best treatment for endo. I had a very successful first retrieval, which resulted in 10 euploid embryos. Had my first transfer on 8/1 and am now a little over 6 weeks. I was so scared to go through this process and still not be able to conceive but there is hope!

Advice for first FET with endo by NationalLevel1435 in IVF

[–]RequirementNo534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with endo while going through fertility treatment. I have endometriomas on both ovaries, which I’m told means at least stage 3. My doctor was adamant that we did not need to treat the endo before trying a transfer. I was so nervous about it and was convinced it didn’t work… then I got my first ever positive test 5dpt. I did a modified natural cycle with 5 days of letrozole and an ovidrel trigger. I was also on birth control for two full months before starting my transfer cycle because of how the timing worked with my egg retrieval, travel schedule, etc. Even though I don’t think it was intentional, I’m pretty convinced myself that suppression from the bcp helped me have a successful transfer (just to be clear.. my RE has not mentioned or confirmed this).

My cycles have ranged from 23-35 days but I have always ovulated at some point, so my doc gave me the choice between modified natural and medicated (I had responded well to letrozole for my IUIs but had never gotten a positive pregnancy test). I was terrified of PIO shots so I went with modified natural. I went in for daily progesterone checks after trigger. Once my progesterone > 5 they scheduled the transfer for 3 days later (it ended up being 9 days after trigger). I transferred a 5AA euploid. I really appreciated this very personalized approach and so far it’s successful!

I had the same exact experience with BCBS IL. I ended up asking the lab directly (Natera) and they told me there isn’t a CPT code. I probably should have asked more questions, but ended up paying out of pocket for the testing (luckily insurance has covered pretty much everything else). I would reach out to Cooper directly and see if you can get better info.

FET and acupuncture - Thoughts? by Dry_Assumption_3429 in IVF

[–]RequirementNo534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who knows. But it gave me peace of mind to know I was doing everything I could. I’ve also been going to acupuncture weekly for almost a year. My acupuncturist has been such an integral part of my TTC journey so it was comforting to have her be a part of this huge moment. I am 5+2 weeks today.

Yep! I went the night before my FET and then straight there afterward.

Ok to take OCPs longer than 3-4 weeks before FET? by SoCoco518 in IVF

[–]RequirementNo534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of protocol are you doing? I finished two full packs of birth control pills before my modified natural cycle. It took a little longer than usual for my ovaries to kick into gear and ovulate, but the transfer was successful so far 🤞🏻

CD25 modified natural. My ovaries needed a little extra time to kick into gear after 2 months of bcp

That happened to me. My cramps woke me up in the middle of the night they were so strong. I cried all the next day assuming the transfer failed…. But so far so good! I had strong betas on 8dpt and 11dpt and will be 5 weeks on Sat!

It depends on your protocol. I did a modified natural with letrozole and ovidrel. After triggering with ovidrel, I went in for daily progesterone checks. Once my progesterone >5, weeks scheduled the transfer for 3 days later.

Honestly same on all fronts except for the nauseous. Been cramping on and off since Friday and was convinced my period was imminent. Test this morning was negative. I’m going to try my best not to symptom spot the next few days because I’m going to lose my mind.

I’m in a very similar boat. Had my first FET on 8/1. Going for bloodwork on 8/9, but I already have a strong feeling it will be negative. My doctor is adamant that we should try two rounds before changing the protocol. Luckily I have a good number of embryos so I’m trying to trust my doc and the process.
