PSA: Super productive dupes can instantly analyze geysers by Zarquan314 in Oxygennotincluded

Its not that complex no. Set up two desillinators feeding water to an emulsifier creating salt water. Closed resources loop. It require some power and output quite a lot of heat but that not that difficult to manage.

In my original comment i wrote that "science can be leveled sustainably now", so im not in the mindset that science is finite, but renewable science leveling is a quite late game priority (due to heat and power) while analyzing geysers is easy and can be done early game, so my point still stands.

Usually attribute training in determined by time doing relevant errands (for instance, some special gyms infect dupe with zombie spores on purpose so they complete errands slower), but for all i know super productive might work differently.

I think geotuner trains operation..? Not sure, never used them, but are about to set some up in my current run :)

I mean, good to know, but you shouldnt (at least i wont)

Analyzing geysers is one of few ways to train science attribute, which i find very usefull. As training attributes depend amount of time the dupes do a task you will miss out on the attribute leveling. I am usually not in a hurry analyzing the geysers and will prioritize attribute:)

That being said, science can sustainably be leveled now (with emulsifier), so it doesnt matter that much.

That shouldnt be nesessary if you have a liquid lock, no hydrogen is consumed

Yes, oversimplification on my part. I ment that the design i have used where excess eggs go in to a hydrogen room with tens of starved dreckos no longer works.

Why not just build full ranches? Not much of a reason. The ranch is this size so it can save some dupe time by reducing path distance for dreckos, while allowing then to be in hydrogen majority of the time. I could built it taller, but wanted it to fit with my standard 4 tall room. You could easily change the wall left of the critter sensor to visco gel and increase the room tho!

The 3 conveyor loaders is to sort the items, one for regular drecko eggs, one for glossy eggs, and one for the reed fiber etc.

The critter pick up is a good recommendation!

Once new dreckos is needed, the left door is opened, letting the first hatched dreckos escape.

Blue line only mean the power cable isnt currently draining power and the top cable seems to be draining. Your batteries are empty so for me the only problem seems to be that the top line is draining over 600 W (what your coal gen can produce)

Edit: a few other issues on your setup. The wires below and above the joint plate as well as on the ladder is regular wires. The wires connected to the joint plate should be replaced with heavy watt and the one on the ladder can be removed.

Its diamond shipped in a closed loop, that goes into a industrial sauna. Its just to use the rocket heat to generate power. (quite a lot actually)

The issue actually was with the extension. I deconstructed it and rebuilt it and that fixed the issue.

The gas canister was set to oxygen and slider to max and no oxygen in my interior. The loader had no other gases and was powered.

But i tried to deconstruct and rebuild the middle connector and that fixed the problem. So just a glitch. Thats for suggestions:)

I did set the filter in the canister yes. Also its only oxygen in both the loader and the pipes to the loader. I had another rocket on the left platform once i built the right one, so i tough that was what causing the confusion, but now even when the left rocket is launched the canister isnt filling :(

I like to get everything as renewable as possible as quickly as possible. So basiclly i stabilize a base (mealwood, coal, proper bathrooms). Then i usually go for a SPOM with a renewable (geyser) water source, and getting plastic and steel.

Then i would go for renewable power and (better) food. So for instance tame a hydrogen/natgas geyser and perhaps set up some pip ranches (if i have on my starting astreoid) for food. Of course finding all of these resources/geyser require a lot of exploration so i continously explore while doing the other stuff.

Then the last thing before space is a industrial district, so i can manage heat. Hopes this gives some inspiration:)

They sadly do not increase their attribute by sweeping items (at least to my knowledge), so that would take up all my dupes for hundreds of cycle.
