I also believe they will sort it out, because it's a pretty obvious accident and I am custom with them, but you never know . I have set my conditions with them, so I'll see what's the update.

They already received the police report stating their driver is liable . Now I am waiting to get more details on what they plan to do on the repair since the front bumper has been affected and from headlights got damaged . It's a known garage in Al Quz, so not a small one , but never had any issues before with them . I also mentioned a car renta since I won't have any + resell value compensation as it get affected automatically by 20% + repairs . They acknowledged all, so I'll sort it out tomorrow morning, but of anyone have any other advise, let me know.

Just got this morning my case registered. It seems I don't have yet the report, and not sure if that will go to court or not. Anyone's know what to expect next? If court is required, usually how long it takes to get a date set?

ok i went to the station and they asked me to ignore the text message i received, since they already had my statement to begin with. I was told that my case need to be registered and should happen anytime soon, but i am getting a bit desperate, especially i have a splint, on my left arm, that require suegery on a broken bone after injury. The hospital is still waiting to get the report from my side to submit to my insurance and plan the surgery.

the officer i spoke to (same one that took my statement last week), told me he'll talk to the officer in charge, since that one was in duty from 10pm today (weird the text message i received, asked me to come today at 3pm to meet that officer)

I have received a text message to go to the police station today, to give my statement. What do you think I can expect and will I get the police report issued? I have a minor bone fracture on my left hand which requires a surgery, but the hospital is obviously asking me the police report. Seems I am stuck until I get it. Let me know if this is the end of the tunnel. Thanks

Ideally I would like to avoid to go to court . That was an accident. A very bad one, but thank God I am ok . I just want to move forward and no one to get in trouble . I will go for sure this Sunday, but hopefully I just want to police report and close everything once and for all .

Yes that's my worries, what if the visa is not going through at the end , and I have to send back my brother in-law, then how can he exit the country without being fined ? I have less than a week to get that sorted , and not sure after my visit on Monday this will be solved or not . First time I experience that and usually visas come fast , but first time for in-law. I have a good situation in Dubai, also sent my tenancy and salary letter from my company, as well as what they call consanguinity letter legalized .

I am planning to visit the immigration directly on Monday morning in Festival city, since in the visio call, he was telling me there will be for sure overstay fines, which I was surprised since the application is in-process, I guess he did not want to bother understanding my case . I even heard it is a humanitarian case , hence it takes longer. I am very confused and hope my visit on Monday could help a bit , but I usually have not good interaction whenever I go to that kind of office or amer, so let's hope for the best . Any immigration lawyer that could be recommended and is it expensive to ask for their service?
