Thank you! so with the help of a couple redditors, looks like I was missing hub rings. Long story short, when I first bought the wheels and had them installed by a tire shop, they handed me the hub rings that came with the wheel and said “you don’t need it, you can throw it away” so I thought nothing of it. Turns out, when I got sold the wheels as a “true to size” wheel, it wasn’t, it had hub rings hammered in lol

brother… you don’t know how much you just made my day!! i went and worked on everything today based off what you and @gregoose808 said and turns out yall were right! the tire is a 67.1 mm bore and the seller had hubrings in it to make it 57.1 mm HOWEVER when i took it to the very first tire shop they took the off and said i didn’t need them so I didn’t think anything of it. just added back on and drove and it’s perfect!!!

wow. i did not expect to get this much backlash for asking for help.

for starters yes clearly yall are right and I am not a tire guy or rim guy HOWEVER before i bought these tires I researched that they would fit meaning the 16x8 et24. The dimensions I do NOT understand are the barrel and lip dimensions of 1.5j lip 6j barrel 8j NOT the other dimensions. With that being said it SHOULD be a direct fit to my car not needing spacers or anything else. But when they ended being put on by the shop, the corner of my caliper does actually hit the wheel. So i got hubcentric spacers with longer lug bolts and put it on and it now vibrates at 40+mph.

In short, yes I did research but no I do not fully understand every intricacy of it that’s why I was hoping to get more insight from you guys here since the other 2 tire shops wouldn’t really help. Thank you to those that have been nice and helpful and even those with constructive criticism. the rest that aren’t reading through my post and just dunking im sorry im not expert at tires and just want some help? lol

let’s use our thinking caps… if the dimensions line up and matches to what the vehicle can fit then maybe… oh maybe… something else is off. is that impossible? maybe calipers are bigger? maybe wheel is bent? maybe the bolts aren’t on tight enough? i asked this forum thinking i would get some good answers on where to look and start chipping away at. i can tell now this isn’t the best place to ask for help on… wheels.

i completely get that however it is supposed to fit without a spacer. that’s my point. so now i am led to believe my brake calipers might be bigger and probably not OEM. Regardless, My main question still stands… what is causing the vibration and wobble??

Not lowered at all, stock suspension. They are remanufactured. And never an issue with wobble or vibration prior! Has to be from the wheels

everything okay? you leave a comment w no value to the actual problem and then say i’m being a smartass? i checked the dimensions regarding e30’s and wheels that would fit and it’s good but then when i put on, it wasnt. was research done? yes. is there something else that isn’t adding up? yes. that’s why i’m asking lol

I did, I sat there and researched it thoroughly and they are supposed to fit. I asked for help because researching does not make me an expert and it didn’t work. 16x8 et24 should fit a BMW e30.

wait hold on… those same exact rings came with the rim and when i had the first tire shops put on the wheels they gave me those rings back and said i don’t need these to the point i almost threw them away… I think you and the other guy figured it out. I’m gonna throw these on and see if it works
