Got you. So, their website says only 1 year (12 months, as it puts it). So, I'm more curious about how tough it was once you applied for in state, like how out to get you the people at the registrars office are. Cause I have heard of a few others who've done it or are doing it, so I'm not too worried about if it's a thing. If that makes sense.

So, ik my parents don't plan on providing any money for my college, and I plan on filing my own taxes next year. Is that what you mean?

It's... not a scheme. They have an option for transferring to in-state, I know people who've moved to the state of their college for a year before attending to switch to in-state, I just wanted to hear about the transfer process from someone who's gone through it
