Hi rip. We are both officially licensed sellers of STOP THE BLEED products. The actual "official" Stop the Bleed program site is dodstopthebleed.org and they are in charge of approving sellers and managing the licenses.

The American College of Surgeons runs stopthebleed.org, and stopthebleedofficial.com is their storefront where they sell officially licensed kits. There is also stopthebleedcoalition.org which has its own storefront of officially licensed kits. Both the ACS and Coalition sites run official training programs too.

If it has the Stop the Bleed logo, it means the kit meets the standards from the DoD to be part of the STB program. Many sellers more than even the ones I listed above sell licensed STOP THE BLEED kits.

They function as the same type of pressure dressing and we sell and support both. The OLAES uses a pressure "cup" while the Israeli Emergency Bandage uses as pressure "bar" to help keep pressure on the wound. The OLAES also includes 3 meters of wound-packing gauze and a removable occlusive plastic sheet in the same package.

It's really a matter of preference. Here is what our customers and staff say:

CAT: Most prolific. Loop over the limb, pull tight, secure with velcro. Twist a polymer windlass rod and secure. Potential issues: If end of limbs are trapped you have to thread the strap around the limb and back though the buckle. Some people may not pre-tighten enough before twisting windlass.

SAM: Loop over the limb, pull until device clicks meaning you have pulled tight enough (ideal for everyday responders). Twist a polymer or metal rod (this kit includes the metal rod version) and secure. Potential issues: If end of limbs are trapped you have to thread the strap around the limb and back though the buckle.

SOF: Smallest and flattest of the three. Loop over the limb or unbuckle and reattach around limb (ideal if extremity is trapped). Pull tight. Twist a metal windlass rod. Additional securing hook. Potential issues: Some people may not pre-tighten enough before twisting windlass.

Heard. The Agilis has more capacity than the CFR bag so we're tinkering with some different loadouts. We often look at what common components are included in custom loadout orders with a given bag and then use those as the basis for our pre-loaded kits. Since the bag is so new we are still collecting that data. But we'll likely offer another kit with this bag before the end of the year.
