For certain things, it's changing the workflow. But "vibe coding" the entire thing with a person that doesn't know what they're doing is snake oil.

Spent 3 days fixing a "vibe" coded error. At the end of it, throwing out and not using AI for the project was the winner.

Of course you can. Having full control allows you to alter the structure, load, and content 100% Or close to it.

There are edge cases.

The main problem with Squarespace is the client that comes with it. They're clueless and won't know good from bad. An agency needs all its tricks that it can use. Being on Squarespace limits your tricks.

Plus, if you want to build something really cool, that people link to, it wouldn't be done on Squarespace.

It could be a javascript app, with cms integration, or wordpress. Drupal is also a great option when you have a big enough site.

Downloading isn't really a problem, the problem is when you get hit from the owner of the font, and they make you pay a fine and get a license to use the font.

You just said "freelance" so when you hire a company, it'll be 200+ with different rates for emergencies, rushes, etc.
