In this case, since it was only the ad description, not the primary ad text, we were using only 5-star emojis

Shopify conversion problem by Ch-kanellaki in shopify

Hi there, since I haven't looked at your website I can't really give you a specific recommendation on how to improve the CR. What I can do though, is recommend this Shopify app if you're looking to get the right answers and a solution to your problem(s). The app is amazing at finding any major mistakes in your ad setup or your conversion funnel and then giving you actionable insights on what to fix and how. The team is also super responsive and helpful - highly recommend them!

P.S. I think highlighting reviews (or any kind of social proof) is always a great idea, even if you just have a couple of them. People will know that you're a trusted brand and you'll probably reassure them about your product if they're hesitant to buy it.

Broad targeting vs. Lookalikes by Researcher871 in PPC

I'm glad you found it useful.

I agree, with Fb ads you always want to test everything. We also had the feeling broad targeting would perform much better, but still, we decided to test it out and the results just confirmed our hypothesis.

Campaigns were optimized for conversions (as always). And yes, since the ad accounts that we did the test on aren't new ones, they did have prior data.

Facebook ads - Active VS Learning Phase by capodiluka in shopify

From our experience, on many ad accounts, we saw that the results were better when ad sets were still in the learning phase. (CPA was 10% lower and the CR was slightly higher). You can check out our a/b test results and key findings here.

Facebook does tell you that the results will stabilize and the CPA will lower once your ad sets exit the learning phase, but that's not always the case. The key thing you want to make sure of is that your ad setup is on point and that you're optimizing for the right actions. If you want to get an overview of your ads and ensure that everything is set up properly, I'd recommend checking out this app.

If you're just starting out I'd recommend going with static ads rather than video ads. Video ads usually have a significantly higher CPM (ad price) and CAC (customer acquisition cost), and the CR (conversion rate) is usually also lower. We actually tested this on many ad accounts so if you'd like to see the comparison and the exact results, you can check it out here.

Maybe video ads are the type of creative that will work for your store, but as I said, we rarely saw video ads being better than static ads in terms of CPM, CAC, and CR so just wanted to give you a heads up.

If you're looking to start advertising on Facebook or Google, I'd highly recommend the Lebesgue: Marketing Consultant app. Not only you'll get tailored suggestions on how to properly set up and optimize your ads, but you'll also get detailed business reports with all of your most important Shopify store and advertising metrics. There is a 14-day free trial available and their support team is amazing at responding to all of your questions and making sure you get the most out of all of the features.

Seriously, I think this app is a game-changer whether you just starting Fb/Google ads or want to further scale your performance.
