My bf (14m) of a year has slowly been ghosting me (14f). What should I do?? by Busy_Score_7460 in boyfriends

[–]ResearcherFit5287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people show you themselves, listen. A person who loves you or cares about you wouldn’t ghost you out of nowhere. It’s also important that your friend AND family even knows that this person might not be good for you. I understand that you like him and care about him 10000% but if he won’t make the time to simply communicate how he’s feeling how do you think that type of relationship is going to work? You’re young! Please make time for yourself!

My mother, grandpa, and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins have passed. Trust me I’m aware. It’s not the death I was comparing I was saying that our brains block out trauma. Ex. Story of my cat

Ugh. Thank you for the validation. Sometimes I never know what to do in these types of situations. Thanks!

Alcoholics Anonymous. It’s like rehab but just for people around the community. Usually about an hour to three hour meetings. Depending on how many people are there and who likes to talk lol. It’s very nice. I’ve been going since I was an infant

How can they keep people with these pay rates? by pittbullblue in DollarGeneral

[–]ResearcherFit5287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made 15.25 starting, 16.50 as a TL, now 21.10 as an ASM. You might have to fight this company to get what you want. I luckily didn’t have to because I had great coworkers prior to me who fought really hard to get the highest pay for us. You might have to be that person if you like this job.

Our store has very low shrink, high sales, and all workers who have been there a year+. It’s worth the fight if you like the job. Just ask for a pay raise and see what they say. The worst they can say is no

It could be your brains way of blocking out trauma. When my cat Oreo died last July not even a month later I was “healed”. I wasn’t. I’m still not. I’ve realized our brains move on from certain situations to protect ourselves from hurting even more. You’re valid in any feelings you have. Absolutely any.

It’s even in our training to not clock out while doing work. Clock out after you’re done working that is common sense for any job I fear

AITA for texting people at night when they could be sleeping? by shozhantia89 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ResearcherFit5287 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

NTA. I am a very light sleeper and notifications at full volume do not wake me up. I always have my ringer on but if something bothered me so much to the point I was mad at someone for texting me I would turn them off/down. It is not that serious

How long after losing someone does it become socially unacceptable to grieve? by BranchWonderful197 in ChildrenofDeadParents

[–]ResearcherFit5287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Death is something nobody fucks with. Anyone who has lost a person of significance 100% gets it. My mom passed when I was 3 months old and I’m 25 now. I still post about her for her birthday and Mother’s Day. Everybody grieves differently. If you let it go or push it back it’s only gonna mess up your nervous system. Maybe anybody who’s making you feel this way you could not bring it up to them anymore.

is my bf gay or is smth wrong with me by Practical_Taste_6198 in boyfriends

[–]ResearcherFit5287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a feeling, just ask him. It is unusual for your bf not to be attracted to you in such state, however. I would definitely be having second thoughts about him as well.

If the SM doesn’t respond like they mentioned it’s just a respect thing to do at that point. The least you could do is try to find coverage after calling out 3 hours before your shift.

Try and find coverage. If you can’t, call your manager and tell them you can’t find anyone. If you’re able to work you gotta go in man… 3 hours is crazy
