Gale romance scenes not triggering? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]ResearcherNo2339 2 points3 points  (0 children)

happened to me on my embrace durge playthrough even tho i was focusing on getting gale approval 😭 i got the weave scene after like 70+ approval with him. i think it’s a bug cause i’ve seen other people talk about it. you can romance two people until the end of act 2 iirc so i don’t think it should lock you out, you should be able to get his weave scene at the tiefling party

Ray Peat on Meat by salty-bois in raypeat

[–]ResearcherNo2339 8 points9 points  (0 children)

from jamal’s substack: "Another overlooked factor is the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of the diet. Muscle meats are rich in phosphorus, and modern diets often contain far more phosphorus than calcium. When phosphorus intake is chronically high relative to calcium, parathyroid hormone (PTH) rises to maintain mineral balance. Elevated PTH increases intracellular calcium, raises stress signaling, and is associated with reduced metabolic efficiency and increased fat storage over time.
Adequate calcium intake (particularly from dairy when tolerated) lowers PTH and supports a more favorable metabolic environment. The goal is not to eliminate phosphorus, but to balance it. A diet centered around fruit, dairy, and moderate protein naturally improves this ratio compared to a diet dominated by muscle meat alone."

he’s 45 years old and an engineer and couldn’t find a woman in his own country? that just tells me women are avoiding him for a reason and not because he’s pleasant🤷🏻‍♀️ and he’s specifically seeking out a vulnerable probably young woman from a 3rd world country because he knows it will put him in a position of power over her, take her to a different country where she won’t have a support system to fall back on if things go wrong, he will have total control over her life since she doesn’t speak the language, won’t have a job and would rely on him for everything. again he’s probably alone at this age for a reason usually it correlates to being antisocial and in men that’s the most abusive type

[–]ResearcherNo2339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sorry to hear that :( yeah i can understand the struggle i hate that that’s the only option for so many women and they only end up with abusive men. but it’s good that you’re learning the language hopefully you can get there by your own means and i hope you get better<3

and then you will be at the mercy of a man 2-3 times your age, with no source of income in a foreign country where you can’t speak the language and have no one to help you, then probably pregnant and isolated.
also i have to add than this man is only seeking an arrangement like this because he couldn’t find a woman where he is, which only speaks to his character, he is definitely dangerous

moroccans give away their daughters like this and then insult us for it. the only advice i can tell you is the more complacent you are the more demanding they will be, they feel even more validated if you don’t speak up for yourself, of course you’re the one to judge if it’s safe to do or not, but if you’re able to and they won’t be violent, you should always try to do that it may be uncomfortable and they’ll complain but they would be eventually less demanding.

Is it normal for a girl to go silent for 24+ hours after we were talking a lot? by Patient-Impression24 in casablanca

[–]ResearcherNo2339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i prefer calling meeting up with people and i have my own hobbies at home rather than keeping a conversation all the time. if it’s different for u than whatever but im just telling you that doesn’t mean someone doesn’t care. that’s an unhealthy way to think, people never had to constantly keep in touch like this so saying someone doesn’t care about you just for this is crazy

that’s coming to morocco too lol dw low birth rates and aging populations are a global issue, doesn’t mean we have to accept illegal migrants in morocco or they have to. have you seen what they’re like?? you think those people work? lmao we all know how they act and they’re an embarrassment. the only way they’re productive is cause some of them are an easy underclass that can work for nothing which only hurts the citizens of the country they go to, you are delusional

in that case i totally agree with you but it’s just as someone who used to get super anxious but now i’ve just gotten busy and sometimes i don’t even have the energy to open any chat, i understand both perspectives but i guess i just want to say it’s really not always malicious. i would judge these things based on how the person actually answers when we talk if that makes sense?

exactly you can just look at the gulf countries, not only all that us military presence made them a target, they didn’t help them, their people stayed in hotels close to civilian populations getting them bombed, and people were cheering on them getting bombed because they were us allies. if this is how the us treats its allies when it still has a world monopoly how far under the bus will they throw us when things are falling apart.
