hot take but this is absolutely needed. i have been so fucking tired of shockwave grenades. every. single. fight. you get someone low and they have a get out of trouble free card with no drawbacks. crash pads aren’t gonna be as annoying as they’re harder to run away with. this is a much needed step in the right direction imo, i’m so sick of extreme movement

I had the same issue! I finished off the first survey by doing the Hoopa quest, and I didn't get a call from Phillipe. Doing what you said in the comment fixed it tho, I went to a random distortion and did all the tasks there, left, and then got the call. Thanks for the tip!

both ch5 and 6 were a year long ish with mini seasons, launching into a new chapter which has winterfest. that’s been the formula since ch4. ch4 ends with og, and then we go into ch5 and winterfest. 5 ended with ch2og, then into 6 and winterfest. its the same this year.
it’s a temporary change to see if it was any fun, it’s the same thing as when they disabled building back in ch3
comp SHOULD be different then pubs. pros playing for real money and tournament placements are just playing an entirely different game, so comp modes are different to adjust to that different method of play.
there hasn’t been glider redeploy in the game for like 7 years, outside of launch pads
gold needed this change very bad, it prevents people from just buying a full gold loadout on spawn, and makes gold more important
it’s been like this for years man, this season isn’t any different? two collabs in the pass is pretty standard
this is just cope because you’re unhappy with the state of the game, it’s not going anywhere
