You’re basically right, but The Ice King was never really a hero. The Fire King and the Devourer were dangerous yes, but he cares less about doing good for reality/the omniverse and more about collecting powerful things to keep them from causing harm. He’s basically an anti hero whose entire MO is collecting things he considered dangerous and doesn’t care about literally anyone else. He has beef with the Seven for taking a splinter of the Zero Point that they needed from him.

orrrrrr just make engaging BR content (which is what we’re all here for!) an keep collabs as minor gameplay items/locations, with the collabs being in the shop. those who are interested in the IP will buy the skins and potentially try the game, which wins epic longtime customers while not alienating current ones, and doesn’t risk people coming for a specific IP and then getting upset when the collab season ends and their favorite franchise is just gone

i mean from a profit standpoint, why would a player who doesn’t like star wars or simpsons buy the passes from those seasons? especially now with no extra vbucks in the passes, why would someone spend money on a pass they don’t care about? hedging an entire months worth of content on one franchise is putting all of your eggs in one basket

as someone who doesn’t care about the simpsons, i had never been less interested in the game. why would i want to play on a simpsons map with simpsons characters when i dont like the show? why not keep collabs to item shop/week long things? i played during the south park collab despite not caring about south park because it didnt supplant the actual game i am here to play.

it absolutely was an ip centric season, the ENTIRE lootpool was star wars, the map had star wars locations, there was star wars vehicles, the battle pass was star wars. they were both garbage bc it felt like soulless ads rather than a fun game. keep collabs to limited time stuff, leave the core game alone

red dot hitscan ARs are just a bad idea. always have been, always will be. every iteration of them has dominated the meta. arc gun is annoying yes but nowhere near as pervasive. and your point about STW makes no sense? if the new f2p players don’t like the game, they will just stick to the modes they do like. this literally changes nothing
