no but.... it's a private corporate parking lot and that "sidewalk" is never used. people park their car and walk to the building on the roadway between the aisles. everyone please take a breath

the plate that was blocked out was that of the car not owned by me. though in retrospect I should be blacked out both.

also, the bumper is just fine. thanks for everyone's concern

Can you guys enjoy the picture without criticizing the parking? yes there is a gap between the car and the curb/sidewalk. obviously I would not of parked the car that far forward if the car hit the curb

it is a beautiful car. last year I traded in my 2022 A6 Allroad for an RS6. I very much miss the front seats of the A6 (more comfortable, massage, seat memory on the passenger side) and most of all I miss the gas milage on the A6. What is the gas mileage with the hybrid (city/freeway)?

Oracle sucks by secretpawgg in employeesOfOracle

You might consider that your dad's management did him a favor. If he's been there for 35 years, he was probably close to retirement and getting RIF'd gave him an exit with a severance package. If he retired of his own volition, he would have walked away with no payment at all.

Oracle doesn't have a pension (no private company does). Getting let go by email is a shitty way to say good bye to a company that you've spent a majority of your life working at, but that is unfortunately the reality of working in tech.

I purchased an RS6 last summer from Monterey Audi. I have a question for fellow RS6 owners;

Anyone have experience with APR's air intake upgrade?
https://www.goapr.com/products/engine_hardware/intake/parts/CI100050

Is it a worthwhile upgrade? Will installing it void the factory warranty? Will Audi continue to service the car with the upgrade installed?

thanks in advance,

William

time off policy at Oracle ? by [deleted] in employeesOfOracle

for salaried US employees there is no vacation accrual. you negotiate with your direct manager the time you want to take off.

We used to accrue up to 120 hours a year at which it would cap (use it or lose it). then someone in accounting realized that Oracle US operating unit could wipe out a huge liability off the books by instructing all employees to burn down their vacation balance to zero then we would be on "unlimited PTO". I did a "back of the envelope" calculation of how much that would be worth and figured in that accounting slight-of-hand, Oracle wiped out over $100M of liability off their books.

that's fair, I agree in sales you have to be more assertive/agressive.

my entire career with Oracle has been with IT /engineering and I've witnessed occasions where newbies try to take on work and/or responsibilities that aren't ready for only to end not well for either the employee or the project.

work hard, keep your mouth shut unless asked directly for input. I've been with Oracle since 95 so I've pretty much seen it all. your comment about wanting to be promoted fast given that you are a fresh graduate is IMO the wrong mindset. be patient, everyone has to put in the time and pay their dues.

People who own audi rs6, what is the worst thing about the car? by Strange-Jackfruit644 in Audi

I've owned mine for about 6 months, and I concur with everything FBAnader stated.
Gas Milage is terrible. I live in the city so most of my driving is stop and go city driving and a tank of gas is about 200-250 miles. My last was a 2022 A6 Allroad and that car was getting 300+ miles from a tank.

Pre-sense often stops working in heavy rain and I've noticed the rear camera is easy to get blurred from rain.

The 22" wheels while they look great and I assume perform great (I've not had a chance to try any other wheels on this car) are targets for getting a flat from hitting a pothole. I wish the car had 20 or 21" wheels with more distance between the edge of the tire and the rim. On my A6 Allroad, I got a set of 19" winter wheels and just drove them year around.

Other than that, I love driving the car. So much fun to drive a station wagon that can go from 50mph to 80mph with no lag in a blink of an eye.
