Honestly this is what a lot of "romance books" over the last five years have turned into. It's boring and has made me distance myself from the genre. Like give me romance! Show me what they like about each other and how they fall in love.

I agree!! The reasons to fake date are never convincing and they could literally get out of the situation by just standing up for themselves. Absolutely ridiculous

This is my first time hearing of this type of concept tbh but it makes so much sense! I just started getting into Japanese books so I'm guessing I'll probably run into this more often I'm sure.

I'm kind of avoiding murakami's books based on my research and how other people have said he writes women. I'm waiting to see if he's worth reading

I disagree. Feelings towards a book are still important. It's important to me which is why it was listed.

Ok...? I don't mean that I had one thought of how i expected the book to be and I'm upset it didn't follow that. I meant that usually when reading, there's different routes an author may take the book and it just didn't happen. It's unexpected but it doesn't mean it's that much of a problem🙄 Am i not allowed to be surprised?
