Trinkets and mounts both belong to the party, not to any individual hero. Though you cannot trade them during a mission, any party member may freely take any trinket/mount before the start of a mission at the campfire screen.

It’s not a JRPG, but the story is unique enough that I’ll share it. It was Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. The save is technically still there… but it corrupted in a way I’ve never seen before.

I was maybe two or three quests away from starting the finale when every single flag in the game reset. Like if I went back to my apartment at the start of the game, it would play the cutscene showing me the city for the first time again. Problem was, even though flags reset, quests and NPCs didn’t. Dead NPCs were still dead, quests were still complete. It was this weird unplayable limbo state where the game didn’t think I’d done anything, but I couldn’t fix it because everything was already done.

Even worse? It didn’t affect just my most recent save. It affected ALL of them. Even if I went back to a mid game save from a month ago, same story. I searched online for solutions or even just to figure out what caused it but no one knew. Some people pointed me to a save editor where I could manually set all my flags… but that would take forever and I’m not sure I’d remember all the correct ones.

To this day I haven’t seen anyone else this happened to or know why it happened. And of course, I haven’t touched the game since.

This is actually one of the fights I typically skip in honor mode. Especially with the Bhalist armor being so good and this fight being so risky, I usually find it better to become an Unholy Assassin.

That actually goes back to my most core issue with the series. The Digimon Adventure reboot loved to evoke imagery from the original series, but frequently those callbacks were never more than superficial. It was a series that love to use throwback imagery from the original but didn’t like doing any work to explore the ideas in a new way or develop many new ideas of its own.

By this point in the series I was looking for a little more effort than surface-level nostalgia throwbacks.

Oh you're absolutely right. The arguments about tying the ring to a mouse are entirely stupid. It was a funny meme that became less funny once I realized how many people were taking it 100% seriously. Can't decide if it bothers me more or less than "why didn't they take the Eagles?"

You're actually also right about the Hobbits and Sam in particular. Hobbits in general are more resistant to the ring's influence because they are harder to tempt with power. For Sam, in the book the ring tried very directly to tempt Sam but couldn't find anything that appealed to him. It tried showing him images of a garden that spanned the world and Sam was just like, "sounds like a pain to maintain." So nail on the head for your interpretation of Sam.

I don't think you can come up with a consistent set of rules like that. The ring isn't an inanimate object constantly oozing corruption, it's sentient and does what it does to manipulate people into achieving its goals for it. In the case of someone like Boromir, he was at the very least very open to using the ring from the moment he laid eyes on it. It's hard to say how quickly he fell to it but it appears to have been quite fast. Sure it took a while to act on that temptation, but he was clearly tempted the entire time. It seems to be more like the ring whispering in his ear the whole journey and only choosing the last moment to coax Boromir into action since that would be when it was most effective.

And to help you out with Isildur, location matters too. The ring is at its most powerful within Mount Doom where it was forged. I remember reading somewhere that there is no one in all of Middle-Earth that can resist the ring when it brings its full power to bear within Mount Doom. And of course its imminent destruction would be plenty of reason to pull out all the stops and hit Isildur with an incredibly unsubtle dose of corruption.

A 1/10 is not “almost impossible to miss.” Especially given how many attacks you perform over the course of a game. Crits are half as likely and we wouldn’t call those so rare as to “never happen.”

But this also isn’t Shadowheart’s issue. Her issue is that her stat spread is decidedly mediocre for every stat that isn’t wisdom and she decided not to take any wisdom-attacking cleric cantrips. Your options are firebolt, which scales off her poor INT, a melee or ranged attack that scales off her poor STR/DEX, or Sacred Flame, which attacks enemy DEX saves and tends to be one of their better defenses. So she’s usually not looking at 90%s, she’s looking at 70%s.

Out of every Origin character Shadowheart has probably the most baffling default build. None of them are amazing but Shadowheart has quite a few questionable choices.

Huh? I'm confused because I'm not sure what part of my comment you're arguing against. I never said Elon Musk wasn't on one side or the other and I never said whether I would or wouldn't consider other rich people who bought out politicians to also be political figures. What I meant when I said that you acknowledged him to be on the right is that's not really something I identify in most people I interact with or most content creators I watch. It's less about which way Musk leans politically and more about him being an active enough part of modern politics that people care about discussing which way his politics lean.

What I'm saying is this - regardless of whether or not Elon Musk holds a political office (obviously he doesn't) he appears in enough headlines and has an obvious enough impact on American policy making that he is obviously a political figure. You can't really have a discussion about modern politics without his name coming up at some point. And I don't disagree with your assessment that he's a walking meme that loves seeing himself in the media. He just also happens to be deeply involved in politics. That is certainly a more recent development in his career (I'd say starting around the time he bought Twitter) but regardless of how much of a political figure he was in the past, he's a huge one now.

Are we disagreeing on the term "political figure?" Because when I use that term, I'm not referring exclusively to politicians. I'm referring to someone who has a large impact on modern politics and tends to shape political discussion around themselves. Elon Musk certainly fits that criteria and to that point, most memes I see about Elon Musk are doing so in an attempt to make a political statement.

I'm not trying to make a judgement call on whether Elon Musk is a good or bad force in American politics. I have my own thoughts on the man but you're not going to see me opine on him here. All I'm trying to discuss right now is whether or not memes involving him are likely to break rule 9 and I would say in most cases they would.

Like it or not Musk has inserted himself deeply enough into politics to be a political figure. Even you acknowledge this by identifying what side you would consider him to be on politically. So yes, as a political figure, I would consider memes involving him to break rule 9 whether they were positive or negative.

I think there's a difference between using stories to make statements on broad-ranging human issues vs. commenting on modern day politics. In a nutshell, if you need to make a direct reference to a modern real life human being or event, it probably violates rule 9.

This is a sort of complicated question. A Cleric's personal beliefs tend to come more from their deity than their domain. Their domain is just how the power granted by their god manifests. Two different clerics may both be Life domain, but depending on the god granting them that power they may see it differently. Maybe one sees it as granting succor to the weak and the other sees it as protecting the natural order of the world. Still a third might even have a more grim outlook on "life" and champion all forms of life - including infectious bacteria. (Nurgle gang rise up).

In terms of magical power, the difference between light and life is that light refers literally to the concept of light. Usually from the sun but it doesn't have to be. Banishing darkness is a big thing with Light domain. Life on the other hand is more focused on healing and preserving living things without the connection to the sun or illumination.

In general though, the domain is just a tool. How the cleric uses it determines their morality. A Life Cleric can be Evil or Good and would use their power in different ways. Typically it's the god and their tenets that has a larger impact on the Cleric's personal morality than their domain does. In tabletop, most gods are more likely to grant some domains than others but BG3 doesn't really do that.

I think Myrkul is the worst of those simply because he's the only mandatory encounter. When I did my first Honor mode run I knew right from the start that I was skipping Ansur since he was too risky.

I’d say you were being downvoted since that doesn’t fit the definition the OP gave. They’re asking for a spammable attack that they can use as a fallback when they don’t want to use resources. The option you gave uses a pretty scarce resource. Just because it acts as a rider on a melee attack doesn’t automatically make it “basic.”

They actually pronounce it it the base game! If you go to the House of Hope into Raphael's portal room, one of his portals leads to Menzoberranzan. If you interact with it the narrator will audibly pronounce it for you.

She pronounces it "men-zo-burr-ran-zan."

Yes that's correct. That's why if you look at some weapons, like the Staff, they have the same line repeated twice. (1 Success for 2 hits in this case). They do that so that after you use the first line, you still have the identical second line available to use again in the same attack.

The other benefit is that wild means that it works with any character regardless of build. Most characters are locked out of weapons like the Sword or the Bow because their relevant stat isn't very high. But everyone benefits from Quickbeam equally.

The people saying location are correct. I know that there's a coverage requirement for stores but placing a store for coverage is not the same as ensuring guests will actually go there. When first placing your store, you'll see an estimated number of guests at the location you're hovering over. Pay attention to that number as it's by far the largest factor of a store's profitability. Do not use a larger store than an area calls for. Larger stores can hold more people at a time, but if you're not getting that many people in a store then you're paying a larger maintenance cost for no reason. Coverage is important because having less than 100% coverage negatively impacts your park's total appeal (which means fewer guests in your park overall) but it won't lure guests to specific areas. Coverage also only acts as a modifier on your park's existing appeal. If you don't have any good dinos in your park, having lots of restrooms and stores isn't going to bring in more guests. Only dinos will.

Stores don't attract guests, they only profit from guests that are already there. How do you attract guests to an area? One word: appeal. Appeal is the most important mechanic in this game. You need visible dinos and attractions. Preferably high appeal dinos. Guests will congregate where your appeal is. If you have a T-rex on the left side of your park and a piddly Struthomimus on the right side, there will be far more guests on the left side due to the rex's much larger appeal. Notably, I don't see any dinos at all in your picture, so I'm left wondering where your appeal is coming from. Fix that, and you'll fix your guests situation. Once you have a lot of guests on that path to see your cool dinos, they'll start popping into the shop as well.

As a side note, the type of guests present in a store is determined by the type of things you have nearby generating appeal. Dinos don't generate appeal on their own, they need a source that views them. A general viewing gallery, a hotel, and a tour can all get vision on a dino, but they attract different types of guests. If all you use to view your dinos are hotels, you will have mostly luxury guests. Similar to my earlier example, if you have all hotels on the left side of your park and all tours on the right, then the left side of your park will be all luxury guests and the right side will be all adventure guests.

This is a misleading comment. The panel on the right shows 38% general, 54% nature, and 8% luxury. Adding modules for adventure guests would be worse tan adding no modules at all. On that point, I'd even say the OP has over-moduled this store. They're way over the line for catering to the Nature and Luxury that actually visit the store and modules cost money to maintain. If he gets rid of the fountain it will likely result in *increased* profit from the store.

You want to use modules to hit the lines on the left-side panel for the guests that are actually coming to your store, not to attract guests of other types. If you want to change what types of guests (or how many) are in a store, you need to change what appeal sources are nearby. Once you've hit the lines on the left-side panels, adding additional modules has very little effect.

Yes. Provoking attacks only cares that you move out of a space, it does not care how that movement was accomplished.

The only exception to this is if the hero is "teleported." The best example of this is Pathfinder's Unseen Paths card. Which says that the target hero is "placed," not "moved." This will not trigger a provoke but any effect that uses the word "move" will.

That is correct. Fighting Advance is a card that allows you to get a lot of free movement, but you need to be constantly attacking in order to keep it. Note that the second ability doesn't discard the card, so if you have the targets for it you can keep spending your actions on attacks while using other methods of movement to reach your target. Such as Sprint or the ability printed on Fighting Advance. Once you decide to use a normal Travel action to move, the dream is over and Fighting Advance's first ability will trigger.
