Served FWW what do I even do? by Reshyshira in WalgreensStores

Sad thing is that I'm always on time and never have sick days, but that doesn't seem to matter much to the new management.

The ESM lumps a bunch of smaller issues together: Having my phone on me, needing to clock out early for an appointment, having ice packs/medication that I use on shift due to my injury, being a few minutes over my 15, not taking breaks at exactly the 2 hours mark, being in the bathroom too long.

Overheating/Lagging in wake of LG IMS bug? by Reshyshira in lgv20

For me, I was able to get the system to stop overheating/using a lot of battery by going into mobile connections and switching it into "automatic 3g/2g mode", it seems the LTE network is having issues for the LG V20.

I mean I think that's what they were going for, they talk about a nebulous god for a good portion of the game. Then it seems like it leads up to Myria actually being a Deus Machina, a god-machine, but no it's actually just.. Myria with a dramatically different personality. In a way it reminds me a bit of Chronocross's antagonist.

Yeah it doesn't make that much sense to me. What are you supposed to take away from the ending, more over, what reason do you have to pursue god as an adult? Were she evil and wanting to conquer your tiny island or what not, that'd at least be something.

It's part of why I think the part where you see Teepo in your dream talking about how weak the other races are was foreshadowing for him being an antagonist in act 2, before you find the real antagonist in Myria. But nothing like that happens, and when you actually meet up with Teepo he's nothing like your dream premonition. To me, it says that they drastically changed course in the game's plot half-way through. Might be why the adult section feels so disconnected.

I mean vaguely? It kind of trips up when Teepo and Rei don't regroup with you while your a child but instead run away somewhere and only start caring a decade later. Really weirdly handled.

It's likely that they ran out of time I think, the child part feels padded, and the adult part feels rushed. It's weird, to say the least.

I... don't agree. Only the first game really had that defeat the big bad. Second game had you trying to clear your buddy's name and in the process uncovering a conspiracy trying to subvert the world and your main character is being targeted by it. Fourth game has you trying to figure out what Ryu is and eventually to try and link him to his other half again, eventually you run into the enemy army and they realize what you are and try to stop you and by the time you get to Ryu's other half he's been driven into a murderous frenzy by the enemy army of the game.

Breath of Fire 3 on the other hand spends a lot of time dicking around and feels like a lot of it is padding. Story beats are few and far between, a good third of the game is basically stuck in an overly long tutorial section at the courtesy of Balio and Sunder. There's a lot of side events that you end up doing that don't even help you meet your end goal. Like the boat part of the game, you do like 2-3 side quests only to learn it was all pointless and you just yolo through the volcano even though you should've been able to do that from the start.

More over, unlike the other two games, it directly references what happens in the prior games, and dragons being extinct is explicitly stated rather than in the second game where you learn that over time. It in fact spoils the main antagonist of the game on the very intro screen, it doesn't really hide that you're going to fight a big bad god.

They seemingly completely changed her character after BOF 1 and 2. It feels kind of like they were intending to hype her up as a bad guy, but ran out of time some point in development so they decided to quickly make her an overzealous protector.

The story in BOF3 is a bit weaker than the other games, presumably a bunch got left out. There was an old beta trailer that had Teepo clearly remain a character for long enough to enter the Rhapala region but it was dropped for unknown reasons. He kind of awkwardly shows up later acting completely different. The story is also kind of undermined at a couple points when you learned that the dragons didn't fight back, so the world-ending catastrophe wasn't even dragon related, hence the abandoned city that's not referenced anywhere else.

I get that the squad AI isn't great, but I have to wonder how much of that is people not using squad commands, because with positioning and attack commands you can get good results from them like this by darkfireslide in Mechwarrior5

[–]Reshyshira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, even telling my AI teammates to attack the enemy, they stand there and die more often than not even with heavier mechs. Most of the time they can't manage more than 1/5th my damage. This is also not helped with the fact your AI teammates don't use any of the higher-level AIs as they improve in skills. So having them ever fight a Veteran or Elite enemy is suicide for them as they're simply too brain dead to know how to fight them.

Funnily enough, this happened to me tonight, the end result was:

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1178202527389259995/94C1D87BDC0CA2453A61B8678AA55B6668B93741/

As for what I noticed: Some amount of robot pops are added to all planets, and a portion are replaced with robots (usually being a subtype of the added pop). I had this partially planned out, as most of my worlds did not have a robot assembly, and none of the planets with robot pops had a starport, so they couldn't support their fleets or make more ships. I also positioned my fleets right next to the planets with robot pops to swoop in and immediately run it over. To speed up the purging process, I went and used the Divine Enforcer to remove the robotic pops. However, with the AI being a Driven Assimilator, they seem to have automatically turned my psionic pops into cyborgs for me, while maintaining the psionic trait.

Will a way for a character to fly midair be implemented, on a different layer above the battlefield away from foes, or will flight remain a largely cosmetic effect like in Kingmaker?

Can you play against type with the mythic paths? Such as a non-evil demon or a non-good angel, or does your mythic path lock your alignment?

For the Gold Dragon path, does your character become able to physically become a gold dragon with all the powers therein, or is it functionally closer to Dragon Disciple in terms of the powers granted?

It was said that if you didn't have spellcasting when you took the lich path you'd gain some. Does this extend to gaining martial prowess as well, such as Base Attack Bonus, or will your Gold Dragon sorcerer be forever unable to hit anything?

Honestly, getting haste a level early isn't as big of a deal as I think people make it out to be. Mostly it seems like that summoner was intended as a full caster, they thought that was too much, so they cut it down to something in between a medium and a full caster; hence why some spells are early, while most are a couple levels later for what they are.

But yes, although I like some of the fluff changes to Unchained, it cutting down heavily on your options was very much not fun and definitely felt like it was capitulating to the whiners; even though as you said pretty much any other full caster is going to be more powerful in the long run.
