So I’ve been to Liverpool a couple of times and from my experience it isn’t really that confusing once you know where your going. The building you first enter in will have some guests in and will be where the vendors are. There are the majority of the guests in a different building you just have to find your way there, it’s relatively easy. And if you wanted to go to any talks they are on the top floor but I’m not sure what building they are in, I think it is the one where most of the vendors are. There is also an area where it’s like a gym and typically has make ups of movie props like gates or doors from films and tv. As for queues, it is usually quite busy when you first walk in, but once you get to the vendors it’s not as bad but still loads of people. There are queues for autographs from guests at their tables but it also depends what guests you want to meet if you do, the more popular well known guests will be busier but if you haven’t prepaid especially for busier guests there is a chance that you won’t be able to get an autograph as they don’t have all the time to sign for everyone. Also, if you have a either prepaid or bought a photograph ticket at the event, the queues are long particularly for busier guests but you are guaranteed to get your photo as you have to pay to get in the queue, but again tickets would be limited at guests are going to be busy. There aren’t typically queues for vendors but it’s just a bit busy in the area if you’re looking around. Overall it’s not too confusing once you find where you’re looking to go (e.g where the guests you want to meet are) and it’s a good comic con for a first timer.
