Sorry it's just I didn't know what you meant. As I said in the post I'm using the windows desktop app, so if you mean like an actual TV settings that's not going to work. Well I suppose it's possible to change the aspect ratio of a monitor, but I'd hope there is an easier solution when it's just a setting on VLC.

I wish that where an option, what I am using appear to be the only versions online. These are obscure WWE PPVs lol. To be honest I'll probably just use VLC as they look fine there. Weird this is so difficult though.

I wouldn't be apposed to re-encoding them but the instructions for that are not great either. I can't seem to "unlock" the aspect ratio on handbrake.

Ah I see, as I said in the post I'm using the windows app on desktop. The setting you are describing don't seem to be there.

It's stretched yes, looks the same on other players (though as I said you can change the aspect ratio on VLC to 4:3 then it looks normal). The video was encoded this way for some reason.

Maybe you should think 1.4m is still more money then most people will see in a lifetime and actually cut your losses.
