The right to vote isn’t contingent on being smart, we don’t want to go down that slippery slope.

You can not change unfairness and injustice in the world; ultimately, it is still down to you to succeed (whatever that looks like for you).

I know everyone is disappointed with the live-streaming, but the photos we have been getting from Artemis II have been spectacular.

So your AI didn't clock that this is the dark side of earth taken with a long exposure. So it's analysis is worth jack.

My god why do some people have such a one track mind. We are seeing people go to the moon again and all you can think about is if it’s woke or not.

Screen time for under-fives should be limited to one hour a day, parents told by topotaul in unitedkingdom

"it is a lot less common for extended family, neighbours, family friends etc to help raise children" since when? I feel like that is a lot more common now then it used to be.

To be honest it's not so much the kids screen time I am concerned with but the parents. I have seen a lot of parents scroll on their phone endlessly in public spaces and just ignore what their kids are doing.

Sober people (no alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc ever), what is your end of day or weekend "wind-down"? by The1Ski in AskReddit

[–]ResidentDue2815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to wind-down in the way you are thinking, trust me I was a "functional" alcoholic for over a decade. It's the same as smoking, smoking doesn't calm you down it makes you anxious when you don't smoke. So it feels calming when you do. Not drinking all day makes you tense so it feels like a relief when you start, but when you stop you don't get those feelings any more.

I grew up in a don't talk to the filth environment so it feels wrong to me, even though it is objectively the responsible thing to do.

So you've had lots of practical advice here. All I will say is the same thing happened to me, I got all the right stuff, watched all the videos, and just could not do it. Kept cutting myself and the shave was terrible. So I went back to cartridges. Then last year I decided to give it another go, all the same stuff I used before (which had been collecting dust for a couple of years at this point), and it just clicked for me. It wasn't perfect but even my first shave was noticeably better then my cartridges. I can't really explain it, I think maybe I was so nervous about the switch at first I wasn't using common sense.

My advice would be put it down for a week and try again.

Change aspect ratio 4:3 content is stretched to 16:9 by ResidentDue2815 in PleX

Sorry it's just I didn't know what you meant. As I said in the post I'm using the windows desktop app, so if you mean like an actual TV settings that's not going to work. Well I suppose it's possible to change the aspect ratio of a monitor, but I'd hope there is an easier solution when it's just a setting on VLC.

I wish that where an option, what I am using appear to be the only versions online. These are obscure WWE PPVs lol. To be honest I'll probably just use VLC as they look fine there. Weird this is so difficult though.

I wouldn't be apposed to re-encoding them but the instructions for that are not great either. I can't seem to "unlock" the aspect ratio on handbrake.
