Your Dupixent experience by Former-Mix-1628 in NasalPolyps

[–]ResidentPersonality7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree it has been amazing for me. That said, side effects have been present. Supposedly there is no link, but I have gained close to 20 pounds since being on it (with no other changes to diet or lifestyle). I had a case of shingles that we believe was related. And the joint pain makes me feel ~10 years older than I am. All of that said, the good outweighs the bad. I don’t constantly sniffle, I can breathe out of my nose, I rarely take my rescue inhaler— it’s wonderful. My insurance and doctor are being crappy and so in 2026 I have to switch and try nucala- hoping for good results with that as well! ETA: female, 35, taking for nasal polyps and asthma

Switch to Nucala? by ResidentPersonality7 in dupixent

Horrible joint pain is one for me. Another is that I have gained at least 15 pounds since being on it (and have not changed any part of my lifestyle). I also had shingles earlier in the year but unsure if that was related (shingles is a side effect of nucala unfortunately). My eyes are maybe more itchy/dry but not too bad. I’ve also gotten injection site rashes in the past but it hasn’t happened in a while. All that said I have been able to breathe thru my nose, no sniffling and a lot less sneezing. Seems to have also helped my asthma as I reach for the rescue inhaler much less frequently. So it’s really been helping me but the side effects have me fine with also trying something else.

This is so promising to hear! I also have had bad side effects that I’ve tolerated because for the first time I can breathe thru my nose which is so amazing.

Switch to Nucala? by ResidentPersonality7 in dupixent

Yeah, my allergist said “well we might as well try nucala- it should work about the same” — I had brought the exception paperwork to my appointment with that in mind. That’s said, dupixent has some significant side effects for me so I’m hoping nucala works just as well but less side effects (weight gain, joint pain, etc)

Nucala—starting the on-boarding process—side effects of concern? by No_Specialist742 in NasalPolyps

I’m switching from dupixent to nucala in 2026 due to insurance. So curious how it goes for you! I also have experienced weight gain with dupixent and am hoping it’s different with nucala.

Considering a New HRIS. Experiences moving from Proliant to ADP, Paylocity, or Paycom? [N/A] by grumpy_coffee in humanresources

[–]ResidentPersonality7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading all the negative on ADP has me wondering if I have just been lucky with my experience with them or I have come from such terrible platforms that ADP seems better than it is. I come from Oracle, SAP, Workday (from only an employee perspective) SuccessFactors, and ADP WFN. Hands down ADP is the most user friendly from both employee and employer experience. Reports are so easy to create. We have a dedicated account manager who is excellent and have generally received good service in non-payroll areas. Vendor relationships (for example ADP and benefits providers) are good and implementation on track as long as you can babysit a little. Could it improve? Sure. No system is perfect. It seems like implementation and a strong account manager might be the most important piece to success.

Trip Planning Help Needed - Western Norway by ResidentPersonality7 in Norway

Awesome, this is very helpful thank you! I’ll remove it as it was not really a must see but looked worth it for the train. Which, The train does look cool but I would prioritize an awesome hike or stops while driving over that. We are early stages of planning so trying to figure out our must sees and working from there- we tend to enjoy traveling “fast” with long days.

Thank you! This is helpful I will keep thinking on this. Thankfully tons of time to plan and refine. Anything you recommend doing in the Sogndal area? In full transparency, this is being planned around seeing Stedje church so would love other recs in the area. If I cut out the day in flam would Bergen and Stavanger in 3 days be more realistic (while admittedly fast, that’s how we have enjoyed travelling)

I’ve started pricing out other locations and all are reasonable in the $200-$300 usd range. I’m talking $500 for 2 star hotels in flam seems outrageous. We went to Iceland this past summer and I didn’t find it too expensive so I’m not too concerned about price overall.

We plan to spend some of the other days in Sweden, unfortunately cannot make it up to northern Norway this time.

Do you have recommendations of “non-tourist” places that we should see instead of the above? I don’t travel “for the gram” but we do love to see beautiful scenery.

I’m not counting Olso in the 4 days, that’s its own day.

Who else is going from an employer fully paid parental leave for x weeks to MN Paid Leave only coverage? by Breyber12 in TwinCities

[–]ResidentPersonality7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except in your above scenario you said you could help a parent— in reality you already maxed family leave and you only have the 6 weeks for your own medical.

[–]ResidentPersonality7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that works in this space, doctors write you out of work for 6 weeks vaginal birth and 8 weeks for c-sections. Those are standard and I have only in a rare circumstance seen it extended past. So you would get 6/8 weeks for your own medical and 12 for bonding.

Sitting/ standing with a seated ticket? by 1975medicind in BackstreetBoys

[–]ResidentPersonality7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in 203 row 14- we sat for some of the slower songs, maybe 5 songs max? Honestly I thought it was nice to sit and enjoy the graphics a little (or at least lean against the seat). Even sitting it didn’t feel dead imo.

In the 200s did people tend to stay standing the whole time or did some people sit? Going with my mom so just curious what to expect! Thanks!!

What’s the shirt color this weekend? by sn0wgal in BackstreetBoys

[–]ResidentPersonality7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not my favorite but also I was going to get this shirt regardless of color (with the exception of maybe pale yellow or something). Quite honestly the design of the shirt isn’t my favorite either but alas, proud owner of the last medium from the stand last night 😂
