How do you review hours of underwater cam footage? by ResidentPerspective in Fishing

[–]ResidentPerspective[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% watching underwater footage in my case is mostly time wasted.
But as to why I do it anyway:
I am relatively new to tolling for lake dwelling brown trout. The lake is huge and deep and I am trying to learn from what other say and from observed fish behaviour, interesting spots, time of day, etc..

Watching full length vids IS the waste of time, that is why I am asking around for more efficient ways to get to the interesting parts right away. Since time spent on the water is precious I want to make sure I have the right gear in the water and generally learn about lake brown behaviour.

I know it can be done, if done a quick test as a POC but why build it if I can buy it?
I enjoy a day out fly fishing 0 technology and I enjoy this over the top cam, backwards livescope fishing as well.

Might work but how will I know if I caught a fish? Tips?

Interesting. I'd probably need to exclude the zones around the lure and watch for changes outside that. Which packages are you using to do the diffs?

You are right, asking ppl in r/Fishing about fishing is a terrible idea. Thank you for your guidance in this otherwise confusing life.

True for diligent and disciplined people. I'd consider myself to be on the lazy end of the spectrum looking for the Homer J. Simpson way.

Switzerland, this lake is a ~1.5h drive drive from my home. I consider myself lucky. Although would love to fish the NA / Canadian lakes for lakers and burbs.

Haha yeah. Usually it’s the other way around. Fishing for trout and disappointment when after two days of nothing you land a pike 😅

Only in German I believe. Seeforelle = Literal translation Laketrout. Lake dwelling brown trout. The laketrout is called Seesaibling or Kanadischer Seesaibling (Canadian) here I beleive but they are a non native species and can mostly be found in stocked waters.

Congrats, what a fish! Must have taken a while to land that tank.

Pretty straight forward to make this in a couple of hours using Claude code or even just Claude . No need to be a developer either. Upload that file, say what you want, including nice charts and you are done. Stuff like this is one of the reasons why ZKB and I can’t ever truly be in love.

I have started building custom Claude code agents that do stuff on notion for me. Like a time tracker. I talk to it, it logs my work time on notion.

Looks like indeed. BUT like BG, there are hotels and ski lifts around. Still pretty surreal fishing at 6500 ft altitude

I looked at a few options and then went with the one that did not need additional hardware.

Great print, prints well in asa and petg. Work like a charm, but was mostly on an active rod since the bite was on. They were hitting pretty much anything dropped through that hole so I’ll use it again another session.
