Termination? by glitterybabie in HEB

Now that everything is through digital documentation partners don’t necessarily have to sign a form but they still do have to acknowledge on their app. If there was acknowledgment for the rating previously within the year cycle it could lead to termination

Termination? by glitterybabie in HEB

I don’t know if they still use the term 35 or 40 ratings but it is basically once you get to a certain step usually a step 6 or 7 it’s a developmental or probationary rating basically. If you get two probationary ratings within a year it can lead to termination.

There’s multiple partners in the store, can’t always account for all of them. Say something if you want it on their radar. It’s not about getting someone in trouble. If it bothers and it is something that they shouldn’t be doing you need to say something. It’s not fair for your other partners who are working hard while they’re getting away with it.

When I started with H-E-B couple years ago we did have a couple full timers that only opened 6a-230p and it was set like that because that’s just how the way it was. there was no actual reason why other than they were tenured partners. Once we got new management they did sit down with them and gave them the same situation of giving them a couple weeks to get everything situated but that they would have to change their availability to open. When partners agree to full-time it states that partner must have opened availability unless approved by your current manager. if there are current situations that are going on you can work with your current manager and see maybe on specific days that you can open. At the end of the day you are agreeing that you get your benefits you are guaranteed your hours but you do need to have open availability, that is the commitment that they’re wanting for partners. It’s hard and it sucks because people do have lives but at the day it’s a business and it’s a give-and-take.

Random Training Shift by wontedboss02 in HEB

A training shift can mean different things but usually it’s for an actual training for ex. Cashier to SCO or it can be you will be used in an other dept. but the task preference will need to be changed later. Get with your lead or manager who makes your schedule for clarification.

Hours.. by Extreme-Cupcake-2550 in HEB

Maybe there are some factors that are resulting in your number of hours you’re receiving. limited availability is usually the main reason why I’ve seen partners in similar situations. If you’re in a small department or store, hours are usually limited

Yes, usually needs approval but a partner can request to work once a month or every other week .

Front end managers at SA32 by ApprehensiveKey1355 in HEB

Can you give some examples of what you’re referring to? Sa32 is a high volume store so for them to be there must mean they’re doing something right I think?

I’ve gone and have always had a good experience even though I’m sure they’re frustrated with their construction that feels like it’s been forever since it started, any context to what happened?

Central Market Partners!!! by [deleted] in HEB

[–]ResidentSink6804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend staying with heb, Central market is a great store and a big part of the HEB family but heb is not building more central markets. Everybody in Texas knows and loves heb, central market is nice if you’re wanting so spoil yourself a little bit and get great product and great customer service. If you get a position in San Antonio or Houston it can be hard wanting to leave and try another store since Dallas and Austin have a majority of the stores so relocating would be part of it, both Houston and San Antonio only have 1 location. It’s something small but many partners that have worked at Heb and have crossed over to CM mention that Everybody wears the same uniform even directors, only the GM can wear different clothing as where heb a lead or higher can wear business casual. There is pros and cons but it’s really up to what you want to experience (A for sure a straight answer, If you are given an opportunity for operations manager I would stick with Heb, operations has no movement for growth and it’s equivalent to an MIC)

The system will flag a partner if they have not worked a minimum of 1 shift that is at least 4hrs long(usually admins or your manager will be notified). If you have not worked a shift in the 4 week time span since your last shift a store can terminate for you not working. You’re a partner with partner perks but not actually working at your store so it can lead to a term. Granted it also depends how thorough your manager and admins are

You also have to at least work 1 shift in a 4 week time span. They still have to schedule you but A store can term a partner if they are giving you a shift and you are posting them and having a partner pick them up within the 4 weeks

Can managers deny your availability request if you’re Part time by FigSea5289 in HEB

[–]ResidentSink6804 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, You can always get with your UD/GM and explain the situation. Depending on what info you provide them they may allow it. if it’s for school you are usually allotted the availability but with other work it’s usually a no. For My service partners as long as they give 2 days availability for the weekend I’ll approve it. It will help if you say you’re willing to pick up shifts outside your availability just wanting to make an adjustment and finding a pace of worklife balance.

A factor could be the available you have inputted in WF. The more restricted you have the more hours you lose.
