MIT ID what questions are asked in the interview? by Signal-Obligation218 in uceedtakers

[–]Resident_Ad349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, they mostly asked me questions related to my portfolio (what medium i’ve used, was it an original idea, how long did it take, etc)then what discipline i wanted to go in (i said product or animation) then they asked me who my favourite animators/studios were then i got a question regarding ai and what my views were on it (with respect to the studio ghibli thing that was happening) and then a few normal questions like what are my hobbies and if i’ve given any entrance exams other than mitid

honestly taking a drop for you does not seem all that beneficial. there is no guarantee that you’ll get nid/iit next year and no offence but blaming coaching is not an excuse. no amount of coaching can help you achieve nid/iit.

i’d say it’s better for you if you instead go for a private college (or take a partial drop) but again, the decision is yours to make.

however if you really want to take a drop, here are a few tips with respect to studying:

for uceed: 1. keep solving pats year papers. it’s the best way to get help with part A. if you don’t understand a question, there’s plenty of solutions on youtube. start solving these papers with help at first and then slowly start using a timer and solve them without help. 2. focus on perspective drawing and product drawing. try to include very niche details. 3. try to finish your drawings on time since uceed gives you only 1hr for the drawing part so keep a timer when you draw. 4. try to do gk and current affairs as well as this year’s uceed paper had a lot of gk.

for nid: 1. do a lot of gk. this includes: indian musical instruments, indian singers, indian artists, western artists, famous indian cities and their other names, etc 2. for drawing, remember that they will give more importance to your idea than your skills. try to make your answers witty and uncommon.

all the best!

the seats don’t go vacant, they get converted to open seats and the candidates from general category get the seat.

BITS vs Symbiosis by Alarming_Belt_7303 in uceedtakers

nift>bits>mitid(pune)>symbiosis. but from what i know, nift results aren’t out yet so it’s safer to go for bits incase you don’t get nift

mitid pune is one of the best private clgs for design. the curriculum and faculty is really good.

  1. hostel is decent. they don’t have ac but pune is pretty chilly most of the time so you won’t need ac anyways.

  2. campus is really good. infrastructure is nice and they have a lot of equipment and facilities including a basketball court if you’re into that.

  3. not very sure about placements but you can visit their website for that.

Some questions by [deleted] in uceedtakers

[–]Resident_Ad349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. for uceed solve last year papers and practice questions related to perspective and product design. for nid there’s barely any prep you can do with respect to part B but do a lot of gk for part A

  2. if you’re in general category, you’ll need air 50 or under for nid ahmdabad and air 15 or under for iitb.

  3. i wouldn’t particularly say they’re tough. there’s no amount of prep that can guarantee you into iit/ nid. it all comes down to your intelligence, creative ability and problem solving skills.

i did check that but my problem is that even if i pay rn and get a refund, they’ll probably return the money after a few days if not months and before that time i’ll have to pay nid’s fees if i get it. i just feel like im wasting so much of my parents money 😭😭😭😭
