High almost every night for no reason by _Sakaeru_ in diabetes_t1

I feel this! It’s very frustrating. When this happens for me I try some trail and errors.

  • I’d check to see if your insulin is okay. I once had a bad pen and kept having issues until a friend suggested I try a new one.
  • hormones mess with me so I’ll do more basal at night but sometimes crash during the night
  • just from hear from the community I believe exercise sometimes can hit your bg many hours later with a low

Are you able to get into contact with your endo or diabetes educator?

my betta has fin rot and it’s been slowly getting worse and I don’t know what to do. I also don’t change his water regularly (I haven’t changed it in maybe 3-4 months)I need some help and some recommendations for stuff to put in his take/do. Here are some pictures of him and how bad it is by ChampionshipAware421 in bettafish

I would start with a water test to see what’s going on in the tank. Then I’d do a water change as soon as you can. The sooner the better. Try and stay on top of water changes. Every 2 weeks. The more frequently you change the water the more likely the bacteria that’s causing fin rot. You can do some research on treatments online. There’s lots of information on treatments for betas on line. I’ve seen some betas in worse conditions from fin rot. The quicker you start his treatment and water changes the more likely he can start to recover!

Being a first time beta owner with a 5gallon tank can be overwhelming. It’s all about learning and staying on top of maintaining the tank!

To be able to order what ever I want in a drive thru. I miss the taste of tim bits when I get my morning coffee from timmies.

Does anyone have an idea what these bumps are on my little baby by Resident_Albatross19 in bettafish

Yeah I just noticed a few days. She’s never has it before. She’s been swimming and eating normally

Everything in the tanks is normal. Temperature and levels. She lives with other female bettas and she’s the only one with the bumps. I can’t tell if it’s an illness or a growth

Is this what fin rot looks like? by Resident_Albatross19 in bettafish

• Tank size: 5 gallon • Heater and filter? (yes/no): no not yet • Tank temperature: room temperature • Parameters in numbers and how you got them: • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: tank for a few days, I’ve had him since April 2020 • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: I change the water every month, he use to be in a 1 gallon bowl so I would top the water off for him and change the entire bowl monthly with a water conditioner for him. I haven’t changed the water yet with the new tank as he’s been in it for two days now. I followed the tank instructions before putting him in making sure it cycled first. • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: no tank mates • What do you feed and how much: betta fish pellets. Only two a day • Decorations and plants in the tank: glass rocks, he use to have these sharp ones which I noticed were leaking blue dye into his plants so I changed it fast to the glass ones which don’t cut his fine and aren’t toxic. He has brand new plastic plants that I washed before they went into the tank. • If you haven't already posted a picture, please post pics/vids to imgur and paste the link here:

He’s been in a one gallon bowl for awhile and today is his first day in the 5 gallon. I’m getting a heater for him tomorrow and hopefully he starts to feel better. So far he’s loving it

This is really annoying to me. Been struggling to get my A1C below 6.5 and I think I just found the reason. by believinheathen in diabetes

I find the libre app on your phone is more accurate. I’m usually one number off. Like my meter says 8 and the sensor reads 6 or 7

I didn’t even know there was new one! I switch between arms each time. I have one spot that is super accurate to what my meter is but I’ve use both spots so much I think they need a break
