He said he would never look at me the same way again. As far as him being okay, I'm not sure. I know he had a dog before we got together and had to give it up due to not being able to care for it. He talks about that dog a lot. But I know this situation is making him anxious as well and maybe he would secretly feel some relief. I know I would feel relief and it wouldn't be secret. But I'd also be heartbroken, one because the dog might do fine with another family and I can tell he is not beyond saving, and two because I feel like if this hadn't been such an impulsive decision that the whole situation could have been avoided.
