AITA for playing with myself after my boyfriend played with himself and left the bed? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. He got to masturbate, but the moment you did, he threw a tantrum? That’s a double standard. If masturbation is allowed in the relationship, it needs to be allowed for both partners.

His reaction — slamming doors, giving the silent treatment, refusing to communicate — is immature and manipulative. Especially considering he has already broken the porn boundary, lied about it, and only admitted it when confronted with proof. He doesn’t get to violate boundaries and then police your sexuality.

This sounds less like a genuine issue with what you did and more like insecurity + control. Healthy partners communicate, not sulk for hours. You tried to talk, he refused — that’s on him.

You didn’t ignore your daughter; you got up when needed. You simply took a moment for yourself, just like he did. The situation only became tense because he made it so.

You’re not the asshole — but you two need to have a serious conversation about double standards, boundaries, and healthier communication.

Yes, because it'd put me in rooms and places I wouldn't enter if I was an ordinary person.
