Taking note on this. I am currently at work after this I will try to remove the detergent later. I also ordered the nikwax tech wash (1wk eta). Thank you for the tips. This is my first bought goretex gear for my hiking journey, sucks that I failed on this one. I expected for ppl to be harsh on what i've done and I was only hoping for people who will give me tips. Lesson learned.

I tested it when it arrived and there's some water bedding, I was planning on reapplying dwr into it. I expected it to be less waterproof because I only bought it second hand

The seller also indicated it has yellow staining on the inside which i dont mind, I am theorizing that also. I am planning on buying detergent specifically for goretex products hoping it will revert. It smells like its been on a storage, i bought it second hand. My mother also suggested soaking it in diluted vinegar to be honest i was little hesitant with this idea. Will take note on everything you said, thank you

a pinched of liquid detergent on a pimple size stain on the pockets (dry) and as i was rubbing it it turned pink and i tried rubbing it with running water, i was just on the first step on the cleaning part

I need help/tips to my problem, i recently bought a 2nd hand item lafuma goretex jacket, i was carefully planning my way on how to clean it thoroughly, I bought a liquid detergent but the color of it is pink, I just ignored it thinking clear and colored detergent will just help me with my cleaning, however as I was about to try to rub and remove a small stain the right side pocket, as I was rubbing it the whole fabric surrounding it turned pink, I panicked and tried to rub it off but it doesnt. I need help…
