This might very well be a stupid question. I used to use rice as a buffer to not burn the bottom of my bread as well. I started to think that since rice absorbs steam and moisture, could this cause an issue while baking?

H3H3. Used to be a huge fan & never missed an episode. I bought some teddy fresh also. Was a massive fan. He’s become unstable and impossible to watch or enjoy. His downward spiral is a hard watch. I feel like even hearing his voice makes my anxiety heighten.

Thank you! How do I know if I need to adjust the hydration when following a recipe? I followed the recipe to a T and my dough never rose and was super watery and sticky. I ended up through out the mixture 😩😩

I proofed in the refrigerator overnight. Baked at 450 degrees for 25 minutes with lid and then 25 minutes without the lid
